Lifan Motorcycle, which is under the administration of the Motorcycle Business Division of Lifan Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., is one of its subordinate units. Embracing a competitive sales network both at home and abroad, Lifan Motorcycle has set up offices and sales branches in over 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China; meanwhile, its products are exported to over 160 countries and regions. Integrating development, manufacturing and marketing, Lifan Motorcycle has developed various motorcycle types, including moped, cub, street motorcycle, cruiser, off-road motorcycle, ATV and large-displacement motorcycle mainly under “Lifan”, the major brand developed on its own. Now the Company has two major motorcycle brands namely Lifan and Honlei, and the world-leading advanced motorcycle technologies and products like water-cooling, multi-valve, electronic fuel injection, and high-displacement motorcycle etc. And motorcycles with water-cooled engines are unique in Chinese motorcycle industry, winning high customer praise.

Lifan Motorcycle has a new industrial park covering an area of 53000 kilometers. It also has 6 production lines which are advanced in China, 2 lines for packaging of knocked-down parts to be exported and 150 sets of equipment and apparatuses for professional detection, inspection and test of product quality. The factory adopts the modes of high-shelf storage and low carbon production as well as the information-based, automatic and dust-free flow process. It is capable of comprehensive design and manufacturing, forming profound production scales.

Adhering to its enterprise philosophy of “Innovative Lifan, Quality Lifan”, Lifan Motorcycle has relied on its national-level technological center to continuously improve its development and innovation capability. Lifan has developed many new products that are not ever seen in the Chinese or even the global motorcycle industry, such as 100cc electric start engine, twin-cylinder 125cc engine, 400cc engine and 600cc engine. Many new motorcycle technologies of Lifan like water-cooling system, multi valve, electronic fuel injection system, dual fuel, secondary combustion and large-displacement motorcycle take a leading position in the motorcycle industry. Its products are exported to over 160 countries and regions with its export volume ranking first in this very industry. The large-displacement motorcycles of Lifan including LF400 and LF250-C are well accepted and highly praised by riders in the European and US markets.

Lifan Motorcycle has established factories in Turkey, Vietnam and Thailand, and set up direct sales companies in France, US, Mexico, Togo and Mali with its products exported to 113 countries and regions. In January to November of 2013, the exports of Lifan motorcycles and general purpose engines reach 249 million US dollars.


Glorious History:

In 1992, Chongqing Hongda Vehicle and Spare Parts Institute was founded.

In 1993, Lifan became the first company to develop motorcycle electric fuel injection technology, water-cooling technology and multi-valve technology with independent intellectual property rights.

In 1994, Lifan Group first developed four-stroke 100cc engine which became the first milestone in the Chinese motorcycle industry, and then Lifan developed electric start 90 and 100cc engines successively.

In 1998, Lifan Motorcycle got the Import and Export License.

On March 8, 2000, Lifan became the first private enterprise in Chongqing which had import and export corporations, and in the next year, Lifan earned a foreign exchange of 117.4 million US dollars through exports, thus becoming the first company to realize a foreign exchange of over 100 million US dollars through exports and ranking first in the industry.

In August 2000, Lifan purchased Huandao Football Club with 55.80 million yuan, and it won the championship of the FA Cup in this very year. And then, Lifan became popular all over the world.

On December 30, 2001, Lifan motorcycle rider rode across the Red River, the mother river of Vietnam, on LF150GY, realizing first cross of Chinese motorcycles in foreign countries.


In June 2002, Lifan Motorcycle reached the Peak Pajoma with an elevation of 6187 meters in Nepal.

In September 2004, Lifan was appraised as a China top brand, and was granted Famous Trademark of China in the same year. At that time, Lifan engine became the only national inspection-free product in this industry.

In 2007, as indicated in the results of “China Intellectual Property Rights Demonstration Units” issued by State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C, Lifan was the only motorcycle enterprise as well as the only enterprise in Chongqing.

On March 30, 2010, Lifan was listed in the 1st Mayor Quality Management Award, the top quality honor by the Chongqing Municipal Government, becoming the first motorcycle enterprise to win such an honor.

On May 18, 2011, Lifan Group made a joint announcement with Infineon, a semi-conductor manufacturer, which indicated that the Lifan electronic fuel injection system application platform that was exclusive for the motorcycle electronic fuel injection system with the smallest optimized integration functions was successfully marketed abroad, marking that Lifan began to export technologies to other countries; in July, Lifan began to cooperate with MV AGUSTA of Italy in terms of development of large-displacement superbikes.

On March 11, 2012, Lifan began to cooperate with Ricardo plc to develop hi-performance 110cc three-valve motorcycle engine.

On September 1, 2012, Lifan KP150 was first launched in Shanghai.

On December 1, 2012, the official flagship store of Lifan Motorcycle was started on the TMALL to make a try of e-commerce.

In 2013, Lifan KP150 Motorcycle Team won many first and second places by its members as individuals and first places as a team in CRRC.
