135th Canton Fair: The Innovation in Chinese Motorcycle Export Industry and the Rise of Electric Power
Guangzhou, China — At a major platform for global trade, the China Import and Export Fair (hereinafter referred to as the Canton Fair) once again demonstrated its global influence, attracting buyers and professional audiences from around the world to gather in Guangzhou.
According to official reports from the Canton Fair, this edition attracted 125,440 buyers from 212 countries and regions worldwide to participate offline, a 23.2% increase compared to the same period of the previous edition. It is understood that the two-wheeler exhibition area hosted over 600 companies from the motorcycle, electric vehicle, and accessories sectors, leveraging the international stage of the Canton Fair to once again showcase the new visage of China’s two-wheeler industry.
Innovation: Leading Chinese Motorcycle Brands Spearhead Technological Innovation, Zhejiang Scooter Companies Emerge Distinctively
At this year’s Canton Fair, the Chinese motorcycle export industry displayed a new development trend. Leading export brands such as CFMOTO, QJMOTOR, DAYANG, JEDI, SHINERAY, BASHAN, ZONTES, and SENKE showcased their new products and technologies through superior craftsmanship and continuous pursuit of technological innovation.
CFMOTO
CFMOTO exhibited its “4+2” series, including motorcycles like the 450MT and 450SR, as well as the quad bike CFORCE1000, demonstrating its innovative capabilities in the high-performance two-wheeler field.
QJMOTOR
QJMOTOR displayed its full range of two-wheeler products, including SRT, SRK, SRV, and SRC models. Notably, in addition to the brand-new SRT 550 SX, QJMOTOR’s booth also featured the ATV model SFA1000, which attracted considerable attention from visitors.
DAYANG
As a leading northern motorcycle enterprise, DAYANG showcased its diverse range of models at this exhibition, including the VOREI 125, VRF 125, and ADV350, ranging from 125cc to 350cc displacement. These products span moped, scooter, and underbone types, displaying DAYANG’s professional expertise and innovative capabilities in the two-wheeler sector.
JEDI MOTOR
Since its debut at the Canton Fair last autumn, JEDI has continuously made its presence known on the international stage, including exhibitions at last year’s EICMA and earlier this year in Lyon, France. This spring, JEDI significantly expanded its booth size and enriched its product line, displaying models including the touring motorcycle KYLIN 750, the upgraded sport bike K750, and the vintage bike FR750, comprehensively initiating a new mode of global market expansion.
SHINERAY & SWM
SHINERAY, a standout among Chongqing’s motorcycle export enterprises, primarily showcased its various two-wheeler series. Highlights of their exhibit included the 500cc displacement SWM 393A and the 1200cc displacement vintage cruiser Stormbreaker. It is worth noting that SHINERAY also displayed a new single-cylinder, air-cooled underbone bike, the 284, which, with its avant-garde design and sharp appearance adorned with red and blue decals, was highly attractive to numerous overseas clients.
BASHAN & AKMOTOR
Every year, BASHAN draws many overseas buyers to its Canton Fair booth, bustling with activity. The brand focuses on underbone bikes, off-road vehicles, street bikes, and quad bikes as its main export products. Last year, BASHAN launched a high-end sub-brand, AKMOTOR, and this year’s special exhibit at booth C featured the small displacement fun model K11.
ZONTES
ZONTES showcased several models including the 703F, 703T, 703R, 703RR, and 500T at this edition of the Canton Fair, with the 703F at booth C drawing significant attention.
SENKE
Among the numerous motorcycle export enterprises in Guangdong, SENKE stands out for its emphasis on product research and development and its extensive product line. At this Canton Fair, SENKE demonstrated its technical strength, including the vintage cruiser model SK450, the rally bike SK400-KV, and the King Kong series, as well as several high-performance models developed to adapt to various overseas riding environments, attracting widespread attention from international buyers.
It is worth noting that, in addition to the motorcycle brands mentioned above, this edition of the exhibition was particularly highlighted by the presence of Zhejiang scooter companies such as ZNEN, WANGYE, TEYIN, TARO, GUSITE, QIANXIN, and JIAJUE. At this exhibition, the products they displayed showcased significant enhancements in aesthetic design, performance, and functionality. In recent years, affected by geopolitical tensions, particularly the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the strained relations between China and the US, which led to the depreciation of the Euro and a decline in demand in the European and American markets, the Chinese motorcycle export industry has faced challenges. However, the rapid development of emerging markets like Turkey and Iran has provided new opportunities for these enterprises. The daring and adventurous spirit of the Zhejiang enterprises has shone like a beacon, injecting new vitality into China’s motorcycle export industry and expanding its market territory.

Rise: Demonstrating Strength Globally under the Push of New Energy Trends
Hall 16.2 of this edition of the Canton Fair was exceptionally lively, with electric two-wheelers, celebrated for their environmental friendliness and efficiency, rapidly becoming the focal point of China’s two-wheeler export market. The global demand for sustainable transportation is increasingly growing, fueled further by policies such as the “Belt and Road” initiative and the “RCEP” agreement, thereby continuously expanding the market share of electric two-wheelers.
At the exhibition, leading electric vehicle brands like YADEA and TAILG showcased a diverse product line that includes electric bicycles, commuter electric motorcycles, and high-end electric models. YADEA’s premium electric motorcycle, KEMPER, and TAILG’s S2 both demonstrated the new heights of Chinese electric vehicle technology with their unique designs and outstanding performance. Innovative companies such as LUQI and Dianchong Technology also brought personalized, differentiated electric vehicle products that garnered widespread attention and high praise from overseas buyers. Moreover, traditional motorcycle manufacturers such as CFMOTO, LONCIN, QJMOTOR, SHINERAY, BASHAN, and ZNEN also displayed their electric vehicle products, aligning with market trends.
During the event, MEGA CHINAMOTOR engaged in deep interactions with overseas buyers from various countries. They first expressed their high appreciation for the one-stop procurement solutions provided by the Canton Fair and acknowledged the continuous improvement in the quality of Chinese motorcycle products. Especially the emerging buyers, who were attracted by the rich product line, mature technology, and remarkable innovation capability of the Chinese electric two-wheelers, which also served as the primary motivation for seeking cooperation with Chinese enterprises. Additionally, they emphasized that in the process of selecting suppliers, they value the quality of the product and the quality of after-sales service more than the price.
With the successful conclusion of the Canton Fair, the future of the two-wheeler industry will advance along a dual development path of technological innovation and electrification. Motorcycles and electric vehicles will jointly drive the continuous development of the industry, shaping the new face of China’s two-wheeler market.
