In August, the registration of electric two-wheelers in Italy increased by 15.4% year-on-year
According to the ANCMA, there were 682 electric two-wheelers registered in August, showing a significant rebound after nearly two months of decline. Among these, the registration of lightweight motorcycles reached 284 units, marking a growth of 73.17%. However, the outlook for scooters was not as positive, with 368 units registered, representing a 7.77% decrease.
From January to August, the overall trend in mopeds market has been declining, with only 13,626 units sold, a decrease of 12.83% compared to the previous year. The annual balance sheet remains in the negative, with a loss of 21.32%, and a total of 9,323 units sold.
In this regard, the association reiterated its call for the government to release unused funds in 2022 for incentives, as these funds are currently frozen.
