BENDA Chinchilla450
In May, at MOTOR CHINA, BENDA unveiled two 450cc motorcycles, the Chinchilla450 and the Napoleon450. The Chinchilla450 is priced at ¥26,900 for the Chinese market.
The aesthetic design of the Chinchilla450 is reminiscent of the recently launched Dark Flag500. Its familial headlight configuration is sinking lower, only minus the distinctive two fang-like projections, suggesting BENDA’s intent to cultivate a new generation of signature headlights. Compared to the Chinchilla300, the Chinchilla450 is considerably larger, with a longer wheelbase and wider tires, granting the bike a dominant presence and a heightened cruising attitude. The Chinchilla450 is officially categorized as a mid to large city cruiser.
Furthermore, the Chinchilla450 employs a segmented seat design, a rarity in cruising motorcycles, yet this design makes solo riding more comfortable, increasing the overall ride quality.
Under the hood, the Chinchilla450 is equipped with a new generation V-twin engine boasting a 450cc displacement. In comparison to the Chinchilla300, its power and torque have multiplied significantly. With a peak power of 37 kW and a maximum torque of 45 Nm, even when matched against the HONDA CM500, its power data shows a clear advantage.
Regarding the chassis, the BENDA Chinchilla450 features inverted front shocks, bilateral rear shocks, and a single disc brake for both front and rear. It’s equipped with opposing four-piston front brake calipers, opposing dual-piston rear brake calipers, standard dual-channel ABS, an optional TCS function, and essential for cruisers, a belt drive system.
This motorcycle is available in five colors : white, black, gray, red, blue, and it began pre-sales on June 1st, and the first batch of motorcycles will be delivered in separate batches starting from July 15th for the Chinese market.
