BENDA Napoleon450 Bobber
In May, at MOTOR CHINA, BENDA unveiled two 450cc motorcycles, the Chinchilla450 and the Napoleon450. The price for the Napoleon450 remains under wraps, expected to be announced in September at the CIMAMotor show.
The Napoleon450 adopts the singular saddle seat design common to pure Bobber models, displaying a unique and striking overall exterior design.
The powertrain houses the same V-twin, liquid-cooled engine with an actual displacement of 448cc, peak power of 37kW at 8500rpm, and a maximum torque of 45Nm at 7000rpm. A sliding clutch comes standard.
As for braking, the front has a single floating disc brake paired with an opposing four-piston caliper, while the rear features a single disc brake with a single-piston caliper. The tire specification is 150/80-R16 for the front and 180/65-R16 for the rear, with ABS and TCS on both ends.
In addition, the bike comes with a round retro LCD instrument panel, all-LED lights, and aluminum alloy rims. It has a fuel tank capacity of 16L, a total weight of 190Kg, and a seat height of 695mm.
Most notably, BENDA has introduced for the first time its modular chassis concept (BD-MOP). This concept, originally from the automobile industry, entails using the same chassis platform, and through Lego-like modular arrangement and structural layout, such as offset or central shock modules, or different powertrain and main frame components, a variety of motorcycles of different styles and displacements can be produced on the same platform. This innovation opens up a new world of possibilities for future platforms’ extensibility, providing a broader canvas for motorcycle design.
