Milan, November 5, 2024 – Benda Motorcycles, the innovative motorcycle brand that debuted last year at EICMA, returns to Milan with its impressive range of two-wheeled vehicles and, this year, a new four-wheeled offering. Following the success of models like the LFC700 and Dark Flag 500 in 2023, Benda confirms its pioneering vision, highlighting its line of space inspired REDSTONE vehicles, presented as a world premiere, and a renewed strategy marking its official entry into the European market. Future plans include the new hybrid technology integrating electric and combustion engines, as well as expansion into the naked bike and grand touring segments, all embodying Benda’s design audacity and innovative technologies.
ATV REDSTONE 550
This year, Benda is shining a spotlight on its new four-wheeled models, designed to redefine the off-road experience and convey the unique style of its vehicles. Visitors to EICMA will discover the latest innovations from the REDSTONE ATV series, true “space vehicles” for off-road adventures that combine cutting-edge technology with futuristic design. Benda has independently developed the entire platform, from the engine to the chassis, from the bodywork to the lighting units, with every single piece being original. Regarding performance, the REDSTONE 550’s engine is a powerful independently developed V-twin, producing 48 hp and offering much more effective torque at low revs compared to the single-cylinder engines used by other ATVs in the industry. The ride is smooth and vibration-free. The intelligent electronic throttle ensures more precise control, providing quicker response and better fuel efficiency. Additionally, the thermal management, together with the air duct cooling system, ensures optimal ventilation in the engine compartment.
The striking design of the new REDSTONE 550 features superior rigidity and reduced weight due to the extensive use of high-strength chrome-molybdenum steel and forged aluminum, effectively increasing its load capacity by 20%.
This new vehicle also makes a difference in terms of technology. Unique and cutting-edge features include one-button ignition and adjustable DPS (Dynamic Power Steering), which adopts a Tri-Mode (comfort/standard/sport) setting to provide intelligent assistance and reduce fatigue while driving. Another distinguishing feature of the REDSTONE 550 compared to other ATVs is the centrally positioned gear lever, which not only gives the vehicle a cleaner look but also offers more legroom. Finally, the lighting, featuring automotive-quality LED matrix headlights, ensures both impactful design and greater road visibility.
BENDA LFC700 – WINNER OF THE RED DOT AWARD 2024
After the success of last year, the flagship model LFC700 returns to EICMA as the winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2024, representing Benda’s bold approach to motorcycle design and engineering. This revolutionary cruiser stands out not only for its futuristic and unconventional style but also embodies Benda’s daring spirit. Key features include the 310mm rear wheel, which not only gives it a unique character but also enhances riding dynamics, delivering high-speed torque that has captivated riders and received praise for the fun and safety it provides during rides.
The LFC700 redefines what a cruiser can be, challenging every industry convention. While the market often associates cruisers with V-twin engines, Benda has pushed the boundaries with a high-performance inline four-cylinder engine. Where rounded lines and dominant headlights are considered a must, the LFC700 dares with sharp, aggressive lines and integrates the lighting within the bodywork, creating a clean, modern look that defies classic retro styling. This design choice is complemented by a cast aluminum frame and subframe, providing robustness and lightness to the vehicle. The high-power version can reach a top speed of 160 km/h.
BENDA – OTHER MOTORCYCLES ON DISPLAY
In addition to the LFC700, Benda brings to EICMA its most beloved motorcycles among enthusiasts. The Napoleonbob 250 stands out for its bold design and classic Bobber aesthetics, characterized by a low seat and a streamlined frame that offers a relaxed and secure riding posture. Benda’s engineers have successfully blended vintage details with modern technologies, giving the motorcycle a muscular and captivating look, highlighted by a powerful 250cc V-Twin engine and chrome finishes that enhance its personality.
The Dark Flag 500 represents another leap forward in motorcycle technology, thanks to its innovative in-house V4 engine. This model not only offers extraordinary performance but also features sophisticated electronic suspension and a traction control system, ensuring a smooth and safe ride in all conditions. Recently, Benda introduced the Dark Flag 500 Commander, a powered-up version boasting a TFT color display and a range of aesthetic and technical enhancements. With its large-capacity fuel tank and advanced technology, the Commander is designed for riders seeking the utmost from their journey, combining comfort and performance into a single riding experience.
Finally, the upcoming Chinchilla 350 is set to revolutionize the cruiser riding experience with its innovative CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) system. This automatic transmission system represents a significant advancement, offering an ideal solution for riders seeking ease of use and simplicity, particularly for those transitioning to motorcycles from electric scooters or for complete beginners without riding experience. While DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) technologies may present some limitations, CVT allows for continuous, seamless power transmission, eliminating the abrupt shifting sensation typical of manual transmissions. Through research and innovations in automotive-grade materials, Benda has overcome the challenges associated with applying CVT in mid and large displacement motorcycles, making the Chinchilla 350 a natural choice for those desiring a smooth and comfortable ride.
FUTURE PLANS – HYBRID TECHNOLOGY
The biggest novelty in Benda Motorcycles’ future plans is the adoption of hybrid technology between electric and combustion engines, paving the way for a new era for motorcycles. “This innovative approach eliminates the limitations associated with engine displacement, combining the strengths of internal combustion engines and electric powertrains,” explains Libo Liu, General Manager and Design Director of Benda Motor Europe. “While gasoline vehicles excel at high speeds but struggle at low speeds, electric motors provide extraordinary torque at low revs but consume more energy at high speeds. The synergy of these two technologies allows our 350cc hybrid to surpass the torque and power of a traditional 500cc engine, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds,” concludes Libo Liu.
BENDA MOTORCYCLES
BENDA stands out in the global motorcycle landscape for its ability to combine bold design and innovative technologies without compromise. At the core of the brand is a philosophy that challenges conventions: in a world where cruisers adopt V-twin engines and traditional lines, Benda breaks the mold with powerful inline four-cylinder engines, sharp profiles, and a futuristic aesthetic that makes each motorcycle a work of contemporary design. The slogan “Unleash the ride” is a clear manifesto of Benda’s philosophy: an invitation to motorcyclists to experience every moment as a meaningful adventure.
The brand does not follow well-trodden paths: from material research to the use of minimal lines, every detail is crafted to push the boundaries of conventional engineering. Benda’s core values – Frontier, Genuine, Uncompromised – reflect its design philosophy, characterized by a bold vision and an attention to detail that defies conventions.
Benda is now also expanding into the four-wheeled vehicle segment, bringing the same sophisticated visual language and unmatched functional robustness to the ATV and SXS world. With a research and development team active in both China and Europe, Benda responds to the needs of today’s riders, prioritizing design, performance, and a distinctive identity that looks to the future of the industry, thanks to the courage to produce essential components in-house, such as the 310 mm tires and aluminum frames, overcoming the limitations of the local market.
Benda’s roadmap is particularly focused on the European market, with increasing investment in key countries such as Italy, Germany, France, and Spain. To this end, in the near future, Benda will not only enrich its range of cruiser models but also introduce new categories, including naked bikes and grand touring, demonstrating its determination to conquer the global market and establish itself as an influential brand in motorcycle industrial design.
