Fine craftsmanship for outstanding appearance
Since its release on last CFMOTO Day, the exterior design of 250SR concept has become popular among motorcycle enthusiasts, and it is a continuation of CFMOTO’s design DNA. But the mass production versions always sacrifice creativity to reality. The designers want the CFMOTO 250SR to come to market with a simplest, most elegant, most sports bike-looking appearance.
Designers continued to refine it to achieve a high degree of similarity between the mass production and the concept versions. In addition, the design of the production version takes into account the suggestions of many motorcycle riders to ultimately let users fully experience the speed and riding passion of a sports motorcycle.
Re-evolved engine for overall performance improvement
At the heart of the 250SR, is a professionally tuned engine built on the 250NK power platform. The DOHC engine is improved on the throttle responsiveness, further optimized on the air filter inlet area to reduce the air intake resistance; at the same time, the throttle valve shaft diameter is reduced and the inner diameter is increased to 38mm to improve the flow of oil and air, making 250SR more powerful.
With a number of technologies and upgrading adjustment, the initial acceleration is forceful and the middle-range shows great explosive power to provide a more exciting track riding experience. The output at 9750rpm is 20.5kw and the maximum torque at 7500rpm is 22N·m. According to professional riders’ testing review, 250SR performs really good.
CFMOTO gives 250SR an excellent sliding clutch system: the power-assisted sliding clutch opens a little when the return torque is too large, which well prevents the rear wheel from swinging when the motorcycle brakes/decelerates sharply. It also increases the clutch pressure while accelerating, reducing the clutch handling force by about 35 percent.
In addition, the clutch pressure plate matches well with the slide of central drum–when the engine drives the wheels, the two are compressed to provide safe and reliable power. With this sliding clutch, the motorcycle has good corning performance, flexible downshift handling and better riding safety.
The ABS reduces the greatest risk of motorcycle riding –sudden locked wheel, reducing the danger of a sudden hard braking or running out of control.
Suitable for daily and aggressive riding
Good ergonomic design suits riders with different levels of riding skills to improve their confidence, so that beginners can easily get started and experienced riders can still feel comfortable while riding in an aggressive way. In terms of 250SR’s ergonomics, CFMOTO has invited professional riders to test and accordingly made adjustments, striving to bring the best experience for the consumers.
The original standard 780mm seat height gives the users stronger riding confidence. It allows more riders to have an aggressive riding posture while maintaining the comfort and practicality of daily riding. The advanced cushion material is specially developed for better quality and comfortability.
The handlebar center is 920mm high to allow a more aggressive riding posture. The “magic triangle” formed by the seat and handlebar brings huge changes to the riding experience.
The cast aluminum pedal provides a first-class feeling of texture. The pedal position is designed with consideration of the balance of sports features and riding comfort. In addition, an optional higher-position pedal is included in CFMOTO’s modification kit for track use purpose, which makes its ergonomic possibilities be upgraded to a new level.
Following CFMOTO’s tradition, most of 250SR’s parts were designed from scratch. All efforts are made to make the same-level leading configuration perfectly match the performance of 250SR. This means carefully optimizing not only the configuration itself, but also the motorcycle’s size and ergonomic design.
CFMOTO 250SR adopts LED lights: sharp headlight with brightness up to 40000CD. The front position lamp adopts double layer injection molding process, with twice the brightness of the same glass products. The three-dimensional taillight is highly recognizable and brings a stronger sense of visual impact.
Wheel and hub
CFMOTO 250SR comes with the original 110/70-R17 (front) and 140/60-R17 (back) CST tires, which provide good grip on dry/wet road surfaces, featuring excellent balance for aggressive and daily riding as well as good high-speed stability and wear durability.
Full color TFT instrument
For 250SR, CFMOTO once again uses its state-of-the-art, full-color TFT meter that still shows clear information under direct sunlight. It has two display modes: ECO and SPORT, the brightness during the day and at night can be adjusted according to the light intensity to adapt to the needs of various riding environments. The intuitive menu setting and information layout demonstrate all the advantages of full-color instrument technology. In addition to the basic riding information, it can be connected to mobile phone Bluetooth for the call reminder function.
250SR is designed with radial calipers that allow for a smaller gap between the radial calipers and the brake disc, and a more stable brake disc position. Therefore, in the extreme cases, the rider can get a more linear braking and more stable braking force. In addition, the radiating calipers are easier for replacing brake discs of different sizes. 250SR is also equipped with Continental ABS. The 292/220mm discs and four-piston calipers bring aggressive braking effect as well as excellent braking feedback.

250SR is loaded with the latest T-BOX networking hardware, and riders can “communicate” with the motorcycle using the MORE FUN APP.
