CFMOTO and Brembo Sign Global Strategic Partnership to Expand Technology and Racing Collaboration

CFMOTO has announced a long-term global strategic partnership with Brembo, marking a significant milestone in the Chinese manufacturer’s international development. The agreement, signed on July 8 in Hangzhou, makes CFMOTO the first Chinese motorcycle brand to establish a strategic partnership with the Italian braking specialist.

The two companies are no strangers to each other. CFMOTO has worked with Brembo for 17 years, with Brembo braking components already featured on many of the brand’s production motorcycles. The new agreement, however, expands the relationship beyond component supply to include joint development in technology, product engineering, motorsport, and brand collaboration.

Under the partnership, Brembo will be involved much earlier in the motorcycle development process. Engineers from both companies will jointly develop braking system concepts, carry out calibration and validation, and optimize system integration from the initial design stage. The goal is to deliver braking performance that is better matched to each motorcycle platform while improving safety, control, and rider confidence.
The collaboration is also expected to accelerate the introduction of race-derived braking technologies into future CFMOTO large-displacement motorcycles. By combining Brembo’s expertise in high-performance braking systems with CFMOTO’s growing engineering capabilities, both companies aim to develop motorcycles with higher levels of performance and handling.

Motorsport will play an equally important role in the partnership. CFMOTO has steadily expanded its presence in Grand Prix racing, securing multiple race victories and championship titles in Moto2 and Moto3 over the past three seasons. Brembo, meanwhile, has supplied braking technology to top-level international racing for more than five decades and remains one of the benchmark names in MotoGP.

Beyond racing technology, the two companies also plan to collaborate on brand activities and rider development programs. Brembo will become a strategic partner in CFMOTO’s talent development initiatives, supporting the training of future motorcycle racers in China.
For CFMOTO, the agreement represents another step in strengthening its global technology network. As the company continues to expand its presence in international markets, closer cooperation with established industry leaders such as Brembo is expected to play an important role in enhancing both product competitiveness and global brand recognition.
