Jialing’s cub the CoCo caters to many motorcyclists’ feeling of nostalgia, and sets off a wave of retro cubs.

In recent years, the popularity of retro bikes has intensified in the motorcycle field, with numerous retro products launched into the market. Jialing’ CoCo was well received among users. Jialing quickly rolled out the CoCo 2.0 version–CoCo PRO, and most recently the special exterior and power-upgraded version– CoCo Plus 125 (China-chic or Guochao version).

The China-chic version CoCo does not seem to be much different from the CoCo PRO, but when you have a closer look, the details are quite different.

First, it has a LED headlight. The daytime running light bar looks more trendy. The instrument panel is practical and retro, with a new interior design that uses pointer meters and a small LCD screen. The front face is designed to fit the China-chic style.

The saddle is changed from the split double seat to a one-piece special-shaped seat with dark brown leather cushioned. However, it is not a standard double seat, rather a 1.5-people seat that can carry two relatively slim people. The sacrifice of the saddle space is used for a newly added rack. The black pain and shape of the rack do not affect the appearance at all, not to say increasing the cub’s practicality.

In fact, such a motorcycle may not always be used to carry a second person. Therefore, the design of this part is good for many users, which can carry a passenger when needed and goods on the rack. There is optional customized leather bags to be added to the front and rack. The retro style logo CoCo also enhances the overall advanced texture.

The China-chic CoCo is set in the background of Chinese classic drama images, featuring four characters: The Monkey King, Hua Mulan, Nezha and Xiaoqing, with four colors and four different print designs. This appearance design not only shows good looks, but also represents the four spiritual wills: fighting, hard working, justice and perseverance. Actually, the core change in the China-chic version CoCo is in performance, that is, the engine.

This CoCo is equipped with an engine with an actual displacement of 133cc, code-named “Fire Kylin”. It adopts the Delphi electronic injection system and inherits the deflagration technology of Jialing SP engine series, which significantly improves the engine power, torque value and fuel economy. According to relevant information, many parts of the engine are imported, such as NTN bearing, DID chain, NGK spark plug, double DLC+PVD piston ring. The maximum power and torque have been increased by 13%~15% compared with a normal 125cc engine. The engine is not only more powerful, but also further strengthened in terms of durability and noise suppression. At the same time, the details of the workmanship have also been greatly improved. The engine has been upgraded from the inside outside to better meet those who are attracted by the appearance of the CoCo, and also have requirements for the performance and power of the engine.

The CoCo Plus 125 has been improved also in other performance components. It now has a large size reinforced brake drum. The front 2.50-16/rear 3.00-16 widened tires make the whole cub more harmonious and stocky. The adoption of better shock absorbers improves riding experience.

The launch of Jialing CoCo Plus 125 proves that Jialing is improving and moving forward all the time. Compared with other major manufacturers, Jialing may seem to only have small actions, but actually it is moving in a different direction. According to some resources, this year Jialing will have over 10 differentiated small displacement models launched into the market. Jialing’s focus and efforts in developing small models will be validated by the market.
