Cyclone Brings New Products: the Luxury Scooter RT3S and the Cruiser RA2
In terms of the frequency of domestic first-tier brands’ introduction of new products, QJMOTOR is No.1 and Cyclone is No.2. By the first half of 2022, Cyclone has launched six models (RX6, RX401, RC401, scrambler RE3, RE2 and RT2), basically covering all types of motorcycles, indicating its research and development and manufacturing capacity.
Cyclone released its luxury large scooter RT3S (27,800 yuan) and cruiser RA2 (belt version, 15,980 yuan). The RT3S is divided into the intelligent version (29,800 yuan) and the premium version. The intelligent version has additional TFT meter, tire pressure monitoring, carcorder compared with the premium version. So the 2000 price difference is worth it.
RT3, as the best-selling model of Cyclone, has achieved a cumulative sales of 60,000 units in the five years since it was launched. It has undergone many modifications and upgrades, and optimized various details (windshield, waist cushion, seat barrel space, shock absorber, etc.).
The biggest difference between this RT3S and the old model is that it is upgraded from 250cc (actual displacement 247cc) to 300cc (actual displacement 288.7cc). It is equipped with the XQ300 engine newly developed by Zongshen and Daelim. The maximum power is increased from 17kW to 18.5kW, and the maximum torque is increased from 22.5N.m to 26.5N.m. The improvement in power is bound to bring better riding pleasure.
It also has additional electric variable speed windshield, with highest and lowest windshield difference of 90mm, which can be easily switched according to the changes in the external environment. The sense of science and technology and practical convenience of the whole vehicle have been improved. Considering the RT3S’ long-distance motorcycle travel attributes, the manufacturer provides users with heating handlebar and seat options.
RT3S continues the overall appearance design and body size of RT3, but if you look closely, you will find that the front face of RT3S is very different from RT3. The split-type LED double lens headlights make RT3S look more aggressive and tough, which changes the low-key image of RT3.
The RT3S has the same variety of original accessories unveiled at the launch of the 2022 RT3, and consumers can choose them according to their own needs.
RA2 is a most cost-effective product among its rivals. In addition to higher cost performance and retro appearance level, RA2 also has the belt drive configuration, which mainly brings advantages of three aspects: smooth, quietness, free of later maintenance
The use of high strength composite fiber belt material makes it softer and lighter, further optimizing the transmission ratio, making power output more smooth, and causing no noise. Its service life is longer and it has no lubricating oil replenishment and maintenance trouble as the traditional chain drive, so this drive mode is more suitable for smooth scooters and cruising motorcycles.
Of course, the cost of belt is higher, so the price of RA2 belt version increased by 1,000 yuan on the basis of the original retro version, to 15,980 yuan. The previous retro (spoked wheel) and urban (aluminum wheel) versions are still available. Cyclone also provides users with a wealth of original modification parts to benefit users.
From the macro perspective of the market, the big scooter that aims for long-distance motorcycle travel and urban commuting and the personalized retro cruiser are all popular models at present. We think it is undoubtedly a very correct and wise choice for Cyclone to continue to explore the potential of the two models. We look forward to their subsequent market performance.
