KYMCO KRV180 Is Coming Soon
China – KYMCO released the brand-new KRV in Taiwan, China last year. The most attractive feature of this 175cc water-cooled scooter is that the rear drive system adopts the exposed belt design and named the PTM belt drive system. In the latest issue of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicity, the KRV180 appeared and was produced by Changzhou KYMCO.
The KRV180 announced by MIIT has almost no difference in the appearance design from the Taiwanese version. Left and right separated headlights and the sharp body lines are full of sports. The rear of the bike also adopts the LED light. The pointy tail echoes the fighting atmosphere of the front of the bike, with the short, neat and upturned exhaust pipe below, which is very different from the relatively conservative domestic bikes in the past.
KRV180’s wheelbase is 1400mm, the curb weight is 143kg, the fuel tank capacity is 7.2L, the seat height is 785mm, the front tire specifications is 110/70-13 and the rear one is 130/70-13.
According to data from MIIT, the Changzhou KYMCO KRV180 has a displacement of 175cc and a power of 12.2kw which is consistent with the Taiwan version, with a maximum horsepower of 16hp/7,500rpm and a peak torque of 15.68N·m/6,000rpm.
KRV180 is equipped with the front upright fork, rear horizontal single shock absorber. Disc brakes are used both front and rear with Bosch ABS. KYMCO also released a TCS version in Taiwan China with a switch on the left handlebar. Other configurations include keyless start and LCD instruments.
