In June, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation between LIFAN and China Mobile Chongqing and China Mobile IoT was held in LIFAN Research Institute.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle intelligent terminal jointly developed by LIFAN, China Mobile and China Mobile IoT, was also officially launched, and the first batch motorcycles (KP350, V16, KP250, KPT200 and KPM200) carrying this smart terminal are also officially launched.

According to the tripartite agreement, LIFAN will give full play to the motorcycle design, development, manufacture, and sales advantages, rely on the mobile communication technology and the mature experience in product supply management and social and public services of China Mobile Chongqing, as well as the forefront technology research, product development, manufacturing, supply chain management expertise in networking platform and intelligent hardware of China Mobile IoT, to create a motorcycle intelligent IoV system, achieving the full lifecycle management of motorcycle “R&D- production – supply- sales – service” .

According to introduction, LIFAN motorcycle APP is a motorcycle social software jointly created by the three parties for LIFAN motorcycle owners and motorcycle enthusiasts. It is a platform for LIFAN motorcycle owners and motorcycle enthusiasts to share experience of motorcycle travel, show their motorcycle life, and learn about motorcycle news. This APP integrates the latest achievements of the Internet of Things, and realizes the interconnection between people, motorcycle and mobile phone via the smart terminal.

After the user logs in the APP, he actualizes the connection between the APP and the motorcycle ECU, and the APP obtains the key data of the motorcycle such as fuel level, voltage, cylinder temperature, speed, mileage, engine speed, etc. It can also realize the trajectory query and anti-thief function through Beidou, GPS, and LBS. In addition, the APP integrates the online and offline resources of LIFAN, which can not only provide users with intelligent cycling experience, but also provide a platform for the majority of motorcycle users to show their motorcycles, look for information and enjoy services.

“Now consumers’ demands for motorcycles have changed from a simple means of transport to Internet-based mobility,” said LIFAN’s President Yang Bo. As early as in 2015, LIFAN has started, together with China Mobile Chongqing, China Mobile IoT, to explore motorcycle intelligence. This strategic cooperation agreement is signed to establish normalized cooperation mechanism, relying on big data and fully exerting the advantages of each party to make intelligent product, technology and service innovation.

In Mr. Yang’s opinion, Internet +, 5G and AI have deeply affected the traditional manufacturing industry, and the era of Internet of Everything has come. In the next few years, intelligence will bring motorcycles greater competitiveness.
