QJMOTOR ADDS TO ITS PRODUCT LINE A NEW MEMBER
China – On September 7, QJMOTOR unveiled the GS550 (Chinese name “SAI” 550), the first two-cylinder race-aping bike of its displacement level in China. It is priced at 35,999 yuan. QJMOTOR, is one of the three fuel motorcycle brands of Qianjiang, also a cutting-edge sub-brand mainly targeting trendy, younger consumer groups.
The GS550 continues the family design of the QJMOTOR’s “SAI” series. On both sides of the sturdy head, the “shark cheeks” type air duct is added to improve the heat dissipation efficiency and make the bike more aggressive. The combination of hidden exhaust and bright wheel hub, matched with new print embellishments, presents a sense of technology and dynamics.
In terms of configuration, the GS550 is built on the same MV 5.5 power platform, with an actual displacement of 549cc, a maximum power of 45kW /8500rpm, and a maximum torque of 55N.m/6000rpm. With aluminum alloy single rocker arm, frame and other 16 lightweight designs, the curb weight is reduced to 186kg, making its thrust-weight ratio reaching 329.1ps /T.
The GS550 has found the right balance between appearance and aerodynamics. The tested 0-100km/h acceleration is 3.8 seconds for the mass production version and 3.6 seconds for the high-speed version. At the same time, the seat height of the GS550 is further reduced to 770mm. With a split type seat cushion, the bike is not only extremely sporty, but also meets the needs of more fun and daily uses.
Within two years of the brand’s birth, QJMOTOR has launched a series of products of the SAI series, including its flagship four-cylinder SAI 600, a low-seat model aiming at novice and female riders, and the more expensive SAI 350 and SAI 400. According to public information, the sales volume of QJMOTOR’s large-displacement models over 250cc ranked first in China in the first half of the year.
