QJMOTOR Claims Historic First Moto2 Victory

The Moto2 race of the 2026 MotoGP Czech Grand Prix concluded at the Brno Circuit, where Spanish rider Iván Ortolá, competing for the QJMOTOR Exocom MSI Team, delivered a decisive last-lap overtake to secure his maiden Moto2 Grand Prix victory. The win also marked QJMOTOR’s first-ever victory since entering the Moto2 World Championship.

Throughout the race weekend, Ortolá demonstrated impressive pace and consistency. He remained among the front-runners during both practice and qualifying sessions, laying a solid foundation for his challenge in the race. Despite having to serve a Long Lap Penalty following an incident in the previous round, his determination to fight for victory never wavered.
Once the race got underway, Ortolá quickly joined the leading group and maintained a strong rhythm throughout the contest. After completing the penalty, he used his competitive pace to work his way back into contention. Facing the demanding layout and challenging conditions of the Brno Circuit, both the rider and the QJMOTOR Exocom MSI Team showcased excellent race execution and competitiveness.

As the race entered its closing stages, the battle for victory intensified. Ortolá stayed within striking distance of the leader and carried the fight into the final lap. At the last corner, he seized his opportunity with a perfectly timed move, making a decisive overtake before crossing the finish line first by a narrow margin.
The victory represents a major milestone for QJMOTOR. Since entering Moto2 competition, the brand has continued to expand its investment in international racing while strengthening its partnership with MSI. After several seasons of development and experience-building, QJMOTOR has finally achieved a breakthrough in Moto2 by standing on the top step of the podium.

As the team’s first Moto2 victory, the Brno triumph will undoubtedly be remembered as a landmark moment in QJMOTOR’s racing history. With the 2026 season continuing, the QJMOTOR Exocom MSI Team will look to build on this momentum and challenge for more podium finishes and race wins in the rounds ahead.
