SANYA NF150 Is Satisfying Internally and Externally
At Sanya’s 20th anniversary celebration, the compa-ny released three new motorcycle products: NF150, UF150 and CS110 (concept). Here we get a closer look at NF150.
Sanya NF150 is developed as a multi-purpose standard bike that adopts a Honda design style in appearance. The body line is simple and smooth, full of contemporary design ele-ments that cater for the aesthetic needs of young consumers. The body size is 2050mm, 790mm, and 1110mm by length, width, and height. The wheelbase is 1310mm. This bike with streamlined and elongated body will neglect neither your work nor your entertainment.
Sanya pays special attention to material selection. The main girder of the frame is made of Q235 cold-rolled plate, with 2.0mm double-jointed reinforcing plate inside. The wiring structure is comparable to that of a car.
NF150 has plump front face and fairing. The car level head-light and sharp LED position lights greatly improve the safety of riding at night.
The handlebar is designed with multiple switches, including the overtaking indicator, throttle control switch, and engine switch. In addition, NF150 adopts a secondary confirmation operation after the steering being completed to prevent the rider from giving the wrong turn signals.
NF150 is powered by a Sanya independently developed en-gine with balanced shaft. It provides explosive power and is fuel efficient. The top speed is 90km/h, and it only takes 9.4s to cover the first 100 meters
NF150 adopts front disc and rear drum brakes (optional with hub brake), which conforms to the contemporary mainstream design. It has a short braking distance, and in the meantime ensures smooth braking. The thickened and optimized brake pedal enables the rider to control the brake more easily and accurately. The braking distance (at a speed of 60km/h) is 7.0m.
NF150 performs pretty well at turns. The steering is flexible. The road holding ability of tire is good. The bike can easily handle city roads, arch bridges, parks, and some bumpy roads.
Whether the riding posture is comfortable is an important factor in evaluating a motorcycle. In this regard, NF150 has two high-lights: first, based on 20 years of research on consumers’ hab-its, it adopts an ergonomic three-point sitting posture design; second, the load distribution on the front and rear wheels is 4:6, enabling a better riding comfort and stability.
Sanya invited a professional test team to comprehensively test the bike performance in Conghua, which is nicknamed as “the Backyard Garden of Guangzhou”. A slope of about 40 degrees happened to be there at the outdoor test site, which was not a problem for NF150 at all. Its gradeability was as good as expected, since Sanya had ever created a world record of con-quering a 56 degree slope.
NF150 was reliable on the gravel roads in the countryside. It is a 150cc bike, but felt like a 250cc model.
