Show The World The Power Of Chinese Brands
Thanks to 40 years of reform and opening-up, China has become the world’s second largest economy and the largest manufacturing country. The response to the request of the state to vigorously develop the manufacturing industry has assisted in strengthening Chinese manufacturing innovation, promoted industrial transformation and upgrading, and pointed out the way and direction for the development and industrial upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry. In 2017, the state council approved the establishment of May 10 every year as the “China brand day”, further catalyzing the transformation from “made in China” to “created in China” and “Chinese Brand”.
On May 10, 2019, China’s manufacturing industry ushered in the third “China Brand Day”. In order to further implement the guideline of “promoting the transformation from Made in China to Created in China, from Chinese Speed to Chinese Quality, and from Chinese Products to Chinese Brands”, and to demonstrate the excellent manufacturing capabilities of Chinese brands, a series of “China Brand Day” activities were jointly hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, MIIT, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Intellectual Property Administration and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government at Shanghai Exhibition Center.
The activities were organized around four consumer goods fields, including the light industry, textile, automobile, electronic information. 16 industry associations participated in the activities, and 13 independent brand consumer goods experience areas were set up, leveraging live-action creation, virtual image, cultural interpretation, celebrity interaction, web celebrity live streaming, online shopping experience and other forms, with offering 50 theme-based experience scenes, attracting more than 200 famous independent brands.
As one of the 16 invited industrial associations to the brand day, China Bicycle Association led 10 brands to participate in the event, including 5 bicycle brands, i.e. Phoenix, Forever, Giant, Merida and Trinx, and 5 electric bicycle brands, i.e. Aima, Tailg, Sunra, Luyuan and XDao.
With the theme of promoting brand innovation and leading the development of the industry, the China Bicycle Association showcased the culture, history and development of Chinese bicycle manufacturing to the world through four exhibition areas, including “Stories in Hutongs” and “Sweet Love on the Frame”.
In the outdoor cycling experience area, the new national standard electric bikes attracted the attention of consumers, and many visitors had a test ride and gave feedback of their experience and feelings, commenting that the new standard products are light, comfortable and suitable for the daily urban travel needs, which has a positive effect on the rapid implementation of the new national standard.
It is an important core for China’s future economic development that making Chinese manufacturing onto the road of a great nation of brands. All Chinese brands will continue to shoulder the responsibility of bringing Chinese manufacturing to the world, and highlighting the excellence of “Made in China”, Chinese quality and Chinese brands on the world stage.
