TEYIN has officially launched its new TS150C 150cc scooter in China, with a starting price of RMB 11,980. Designed primarily for young riders and urban commuters, the TS150C combines a conventional gasoline engine with a lithium-battery assist system, while adding a comprehensive package of electronic safety and connected features.

Power comes from TEYIN’s KS150 liquid-cooled, four-valve single-cylinder engine, displacing 149cc. The engine features variable valve timing (VVT), Bosch electronic fuel injection, and a high-mounted intake system. Claimed output is 11.6kW (15.6 hp), with peak torque of 13.5Nm (10.0 lb-ft). The scooter also incorporates a lithium-battery assist system that provides additional torque for three seconds during initial acceleration, helping sharpen low-speed response and make stop-and-go urban riding more responsive.

The TS150C carries a 10-liter front-mounted fuel tank, with TEYIN claiming a range of up to 400 kilometers (249 miles). An electronically controlled fuel-filler lock is also fitted, adding convenience while giving the scooter enough range for occasional longer rides beyond the daily commute.

Safety equipment includes standard ABS and traction control (TCS), while semi-slick sport tires are intended to provide additional grip.

The TS150C uses a completely flat floorboard, a defining feature of the scooter’s design and one aimed squarely at everyday practicality. The open floor area provides plenty of room for different riding positions and makes it easier to carry groceries, personal gear, or other everyday items. Styling takes a sportier direction, with a compact exhaust, metal exhaust guard, and a four-projector LED headlight setup.

Technology is another major part of the package. The TS150C supports smartphone-based keyless unlocking and features a TFT color display. Front and rear dash cameras, a visual blind-spot monitoring system, and tire-pressure monitoring are also included. A T-BOX connected system provides remote access to motorcycle status and supports over-the air (OTA) software updates.

With its combination of electric assist, connected technology, electronic rider aids, and practical flat-floor layout, the TS150C takes a different approach to the traditional 150cc commuter scooter. At RMB 11,980, it is aimed primarily at younger urban riders looking for a balance of performance, practicality, and modern technology.

As the 150cc scooter segment continues to evolve, basic transportation is no longer the only priority for riders. Performance, connectivity, safety, and usable range are increasingly becoming part of the equation. The TS150C represents TEYIN’s latest attempt to push the conventional flat-floor commuter scooter toward a more versatile and technology-focused format.
