According to the China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycle (CCCM), China produced 13.8849 million motorcycles and sold 13.8276 million units from January to August 2026, with the industry continuing its overall steady growth. Motorcycles above 250cc were particularly notable, with production and sales increasing 7.71% and 8.8% year on year, respectively. The figures indicate that motorcycle demand is continuing to shift toward larger-displacement, leisure-oriented and higher-quality products, providing Chinese motorcycle manufacturers with a broader product base for expanding into overseas markets.

Export performance has been even more notable. From January to August 2026, China exported 10.2941 million complete motorcycles, up 17.77% year on year, while export value increased 67.93%. With export value growing significantly faster than export volume, the average trade value of China’s motorcycle exports increased during the period. The simultaneous growth in export volume and value also indicates continued expansion in overseas demand for Chinese motorcycle products, while Chinese manufacturers are increasingly competing in global markets not only on scale, but also on product value and overall competitiveness.

China’s electric two-wheeler industry is also playing an increasingly active role in the global green mobility market. According to the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), China’s electric two-wheeler exports reached US$4.58 billion in value in the first half of 2026, up 36.6% year on year, while export volume reached 15.97 million units, up 30.8%. Europe, Asia and North America remained the major export regions, while Latin America and Africa recorded relatively rapid growth in exports and are becoming important growth markets for Chinese electric two-wheeler manufacturers. The trend not only reflects continued global demand for electric two-wheeler mobility, but also highlights the overall competitiveness of Chinese companies in product manufacturing, supply-chain support and green mobility solutions.

Beyond the product displays inside the exhibition halls, the Two-Wheeler Branch of the CCCME will further facilitate direct communication between Chinese two-wheeler companies and overseas buyers during the fair. On October 14, the “Two-Wheeled Vehicle Enterprise Supply and Demand Cooperation Matchmaking Event” will be held at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich Hotel.
