VOGE Released CU250 Automatic Cruiser, Priced at RMB 19,980 in the Chinese Market
On July 3, VOGE officially released its first automatic cruiser motorcycle CU250, with an official price of 19,980 RMB in the Chinese market. As the brand’s first model equipped with AMT technology,CU250 takes “easy to drive” as its core selling point, combines innovative functions such as V-cylinder power, creep mode and cornering protection, and targets the urban commuting and novice user markets, becoming another masterpiece in the field of domestic automatic transmission motorcycles.
The biggest breakthrough of CU250 is its VOGE AMT technology, which provides three shift modes: D (automatic Normal mode), DS (automatic Sport mode), and M (manual shift mode), covering the diverse needs from daily commuting to sports riding. The motorcycle is equipped with an exclusive creeping mode, which is automatically activated when the speed drops to 10km/h. You can slowly follow the car by releasing the accelerator, which completely solves the problem of coordinating the accelerator and the clutch in congested road conditions. It is also equipped with a cornering protection function. When leaning over a corner, the system intelligently maintains the current gear position to avoid sudden changes in rear wheel grip due to downshifting, thereby improving cornering safety. The motorcycle has also been optimized for smoothness. The V-twin engine with a balance shaft design effectively suppresses vibrations, and is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission, taking into account both power output and comfort.
CU250 uses a 249cc water-cooled eight-valve V-twin engine with a maximum power of 20kW/9000rpm and a maximum torque of 23N·m/7000rpm. It has outstanding low-torque performance and can start at traffic lights faster than others. In terms of body design, the compact wheelbase of 1460mm, the low seat height of 710mm and the curb weight of 182kg significantly lower the control threshold. Equipped with safety electronic control: dual-channel ABS+ TCS and other safety configurations that can be turned off. Enhanced comfort design: widened and thickened seat cushion, golden riding triangle, large-size adjustable footrest and reserved backrest interface. Equipped with intelligent equipment: TFT LCD instrument, T-BOX II generation car networking system, and full-vehicle LED light source.
The new car continues the CU series family design, and the retro cruiser style is enhanced by the gold-copper engine embellishment and the three colors of white/purple/black. The combination of 2205mm body length and 16-inch front wheels and 15-inch rear wheels further highlights the American cruiser temperament.
The CU250 entered the market with the combination of “automatic transmission + cruiser”, which accurately solves the pain points of urban riding. However, many experienced riders said that a motorcycle without a clutch is like a computer without a keyboard, which is a bit lacking and makes the motorcycle lose its soul. What do you think about this?
But it is undeniable that it is an innovative product that combines practicality and fun. The emergence of the CU250 has undoubtedly lowered the entry threshold for motorcycles, allowing more people to enjoy the fun of riding. Its AMT technology not only reduces the difficulty of operation for novices, but also features such as creep mode and cornering protection, which demonstrate the progress of domestic models in the field of electronic control.
