On July 18, VOGE, the premium motorcycle brand under Loncin, officially launched the mid-displacement four-cylinder sport racing RR500S, offering two configurations: the Standard Edition and the Lingfeng Edition. The official suggested retail prices are 28,980 yuan and 30,980 yuan, respectively (with a limited-time promotional price of 27,980 yuan/29,980 yuan). From now until July 31, customers can offset 1,000 yuan from the purchase price with a 1-yuan deposit. As another major offering in the domestic 500cc-class four-cylinder sport racing segment, the RR500S is positioned as a “mountain-climbing powerhouse,” emphasizing accessible recreational appeal and technical advancements. Its unique design language and robust specifications have drawn significant market attention.

Since its debut in November 2024, the RR500S has undergone a six-month pre-launch period. VOGE collected feedback through three phases of testing and iterated the product accordingly. First, media and riders were invited for test rides, with suggestions leading to optimizations in throttle travel and suspension feedback; second, in January 2025, the “Angel User Program” was launched to further adjust details such as ABS logic and side stand angle; finally, a batch of test vehicles were deployed to dealerships to validate assembly quality and versatility.

The bike is powered by a 475cc inline-four cylinder water-cooled engine, delivering a maximum power of 57kW at 12,500rpm and peak torque of 47N·m at 11,000rpm. It features variable valve exhaust (enhanced sound after 6,000rpm) and ram-air intake technology, with a top speed exceeding 200km/h. The measured combined fuel consumption is approximately 5.03 L/100 km (combining aggressive and conventional driving styles). It also features Nissin calipers (front opposed four-piston), a non-adjustable but well-tuned suspension system, and a 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution, balancing low-speed agility with high-speed stability. However, the 192 kg curb weight results in slightly delayed lean-over speed.

The difference between the standard version and the Lingfeng version lies in: the standard version comes standard with dual-channel ABS, TCS, launch control, and one-way quick release; while the Lingfeng version adds cornering ABS, steering dampers, and tire pressure monitoring, further enhancing safety during high-speed driving.

The RR500S adopts a “sculptural” design with multiple geometric segments, emphasizing layering and distinctiveness, but the complex structure also results in higher costs.

Priced starting at 27,980 yuan, the RR500S enters the competitive domestic 500cc four-cylinder sport racing market. Though it does not adopt cutting-edge technology, it leverages supply chain advantages and engine R&D expertise (such as DLC-coated finger-type rocker arms and forged crankshafts) to potentially drive further adoption of four-cylinder models. As a model emphasizing “controllable fun,” the RR500S positions long-term refinement and user co-creation as its core competitive advantages. Whether it can break through in the intense market remains to be seen, pending market feedback.
