What Makes A Unique Urban Cruiser
Speaking of a cruiser, people always think of the V-twin, large displacement, great power, long body, heavy handling, and the recognizable sound. With the rise of the small engines, small displacement cruisers become increasingly popular. Qingqi KR GV300S is one of this kind.
A distinctive Bobber
As a small displacement cruiser, the manufacturer positioned it to be used for urban life purpose. Although this may be a little contrary to the original intention of a cruiser, it is a unique motorcycle in the city. Its uniqueness comes first from the appearance – an infrequent Bobber style, with unnecessary body parts removed to reduce weight and wheelbase, which makes it more suitable for urban use.
GV300S adopts many round elements to distinguish the overall appearance. It uses no chrome-plated material. The front shock absorber is provided with a dust cover to maximally restore the Bobber style. The factory also considers the balance between practicality and style. It is provided with single-seat and two-seat options as well as USB ports. Moreover, the rear mudguard can be easily dismounted for the convenience of future modification. GV300S will be your personalized Bobber.
Configuration of a street bike
Traditional cruisers are not easy to ride in urban traffic environment, which is due to the structure of the cruiser itself. Therefore, GV300S’ positioning has determined its features of a street bike.
First, the wheelbase 1,428mm long is much shorter than that of traditional cruisers. Meanwhile, GV300S’ hub size is front 16” and rear 15”. The short wheelbase frame delivers a riding quality that no other cruiser can match.
Second, the pedal is designed more backward compared with that of a conventional cruiser, which, together with the flat handlebar, creates a riding triangle more like that of a street bike.
Finally, GV300S is powered by a V-shaped, double-cylinder SOHC 8-valve water-cooled engine – the included angle is designed to be 60°, so the engine can be smaller. This is advantageous to shortening the wheelbase and delivering better low torques. The maximum power is 22.1 kW/8,500rpm, and the maximum torque is 25.6 N·m/6,500rpm. With the proper function of the large rear 52-teeth crankset and chain transmission, this small cruiser also provides an impressive acceleration experience.

In addition, it has a vertical front fork, and a double-tube rear shock absorber (preload, adjustable). The front brake features opposite four-piston calipers, while the rear brake is two-way double-piston caliper. The double-channel ABS is a standard configuration. The braking system is a comparatively high standard among similar cruisers.

A sport cruiser
Those street bike features make the motorcycle very urban adaptive, which not only allows a comfortable riding posture, but also has its power output designed just right for the urban road conditions. The design of the big crankset brings excellent acceleration pleasure. In addition, GV300S has usable engine rev at around 10,000rpm. With a six-speed transmission, the rider can change gears at the rhythm of a street bike while riding in the cities.
In addition to being more suitable for urban environment in power deployment, a comfortable sitting position similar to that of a street bike together with a short wheelbase and a small front rake makes it agile while running through urban streets at low speeds. This is an unmatchable merit to ordinary cruiser.
The shock absorbers have also been adjusted for urban use purpose: the front shock absorber can easily handle the urban road conditions, while the rear shock absorber is adjustable (pre-load) to meet the needs of various conditions. However, due to the structural features of a cruiser, the overall shock absorption feedback feels a little hard.
As a cruiser, GV300S’ power parameters are impressive. But since it emphasizes low-torque adjustment and the adopts a large rear crankset, GV300S’ speed is about 92km/h at the optimal cruising state (in 6th gear, at 6,000rpm). Such cruising performance is acceptable for urban riding.
GV300S also shows outstanding flexibility on mountain roads, especially at the fast turning state (you just feel a light and smart bike). The braking effect is great due to the reliable braking system and the reasonable distribution of center of gravity, which enables good controlling of the bike during riding.
The usable engine rev of around 10,000rpm can fully exert its advantage during intense riding, bringing excellent acceleration experience for the rider.
In an era when street bikes dominate the market, the Bobber style cruiser demonstrates personality and unique taste. Qingqi KR GV300S has distinctive looks, and meanwhile it finds a balance between “style” and “performance”, allowing you to experience the charm of a cruiser in the city.(Source: WeChat: MTC-CHINA)
