2022 CFMoto CForce 1000 Overland
Everything you need to know about CFMoto’s most powerful ATV.
Ups
Powerful V-twin engine, full LED lighting, factory beadlocks, windscreen, removable cargo boxes can be converted to 2-up passenger seat, 7.3-gallon fuel tank, 3,000-pound winch included, rear trailing-arm suspension, and an affordable $9,999 starting price.
Downs
Large dimensions and a 999-pound curb weight make for a big ATV. Lesser-known brand. Thin dealer network. Limited warranty with a short coverage period.
Verdict
We’ll be honest, it was hard to find negatives on this ATV with so much to offer. If you’re looking for a fantastic touring-style ATV and aren’t afraid to try a lesser known brand, we’d suggest you give the CForce 1000 Overland a chance.

Powertrain: Engine, Transmission, and Performance
A 79 hp, 963cc V-twin engine powers an automatic CVTech transmission. The CVT has two forward gears, one reverse gear, neutral, and park. Power is controlled by a transfer case that can send power out to the rear axle that remains locked at all times, both axles with an open front differential, and all four tires via the locking front differential.
CFMoto claims 79 hp at 7,000 rpm and 60 pound-feet of torque at 6,500 rpm. Claimed curb weight is 999 pounds which equals 12.6 pounds per horsepower.
Handling
Brushless electronic power steering, adjustable gas shocks, independent front A-arm suspension, and rear independent trailing-arm suspension make for a compliant and comfortable ride. Handling is engineered to promote all-day riding with less fatigue. Large plastic footwells work to keep debris away from the wide footpegs.
Brakes
Braking is handled by a hydraulic disc system that uses a separate parking brake mechanism.
Ergonomics: Comfort and Utility
Comfort and utility are priority for the CForce 1000 Overland model. Large handguards, a windscreen, wide fender flares, and a plush seat all help to fight fatigue over a long day’s ride. Both front and rear racks hold gear securely. Three storage bins slot into the rear rack, offering weather-resistant space for more precious cargo. Large footwells give riders a place to steady themselves while sitting and standing.
Payload/Towing
The CForce 1000 Overland tows via standard 2-inch hitch receiver located on the rear frame. The receiver is rated for up to 873 pounds of towing capacity.
The rear rack is rated for 75 pounds of payload capacity, but comes with removable hard case compartments with up to 105 liters of storage capacity. The front rack is rated for 100 pounds of payload capacity.
Electronics
LED front flood lamps pair with LED projection headlights to cast a brilliant light on dark evening trails. This model also includes turn signals, a horn and emergency flashers.
A 12-volt power outlet pairs with a standard USB port to charge your accessory electronics while riding. The dash-mounted digital gauge sits just in front of the handlebars, protected by the standard windscreen, offering a non-color readout of engine and transmission numbers.
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
A one-year limited warranty is offered with every CFMoto vehicle. A 30-day warranty applies to several wear items. A 90-day warranty covers mechanical and electrical parts. Additional information is available on the CFMoto website under FAQs or in the vehicle owner’s manual.
