From December 9 to 11, 2025, the Chongqing Jiangjin round of the 2025 China Motocross Championship (CMX) was held at the Hub Port Industrial Park in Jiangjin District, Chongqing, and concluded successfully. As a key stop on this season’s calendar, the Jiangjin round attracted numerous professional teams and top riders from across the country. Major domestic motorcycle brands—including QJMOTOR, CFMOTO, Zonsen, Loncin, and KAYO—participated in various forms, competing fiercely across multiple race classes.

The MX1 class represents the highest level of domestic motocross competition, with large-displacement Chinese off-road motorcycles becoming the focus of the event. After two motos, Gao Lide of the Qianjiang Factory Team claimed victory in the MX1 class with a consistent performance, earning a perfect total of 50 points. The result highlighted Qianjiang’s reliability and sustained performance capability in large-displacement off-road products. Hugh McKay and Jaip Constantinou of the Chongqing Caken Racing Team finished second and third respectively, scoring 44 and 40 points.

Meanwhile, the KAYO Team delivered strong results in the Domestic A class and related categories. Rider Li Haoyu made his competitive debut aboard the 2026 K6R, securing second place in the Domestic A class and completing the new model’s first on-track performance test. Huayang Racing Team newcomer Gao Ziming also impressed by taking third place in the MX3 class, demonstrating clear development potential. With multiple riders delivering stable results, Huayang Racing Team ultimately finished second in the Domestic A team standings, emerging as one of the key domestic forces at the event.

In the MX1 team standings, the Chongqing Caken Racing Team claimed first place with 84 points, followed by the Qianjiang Factory Team with 73 points, while Chongqing Plaque International Racing Team finished third. This distribution of results reflects a highly competitive landscape among domestic brands at the top level, with closely matched performance.

In the MX2 class, mid-displacement off-road motorcycles from several domestic brands competed head-to-head. Pu Yang of the YZM Racing Factory Team won the MX2 class with 47 points. Zhao Peng of the Zhejiang Bosuer Racing Team finished second with 45 points, while Zhang Yihuai of the Chongqing Junchi Factory Team secured third place with 42 points. In the team rankings, the YZM Racing Factory Team topped the MX2 class, followed by the Zhejiang Bosuer Racing Team and the Chongqing Junchi Factory Team, underscoring the maturity and consistency of domestically produced mid-displacement motocross machines.

The MX85 junior category was a major highlight of the event, with Loncin-based off-road motorcycles achieving a “double crown” across both the MX85 A and B classes. In MX85 A, Deng Jiawei and Deng Yutao of the Xiyuanhua Off-Road Racing Team finished first and second respectively. In MX85 B, Liu Zixi of the NBF Lubricants International Racing Team took the victory. In the MX85 B team standings, the NBF Lubricants International Racing Team ranked first, followed by Chongqing Plaque International Racing Team and Beijing Zuma Shitou International Racing Team in second and third.

Following the conclusion of the Jiangjin round, the official 2025 CMX season overall standings were also released. KAYO Team continued its strong season form, with Li Haoyu claiming both the MX1 and Domestic A overall championships thanks to two round victories and four podium finishes. Teammate Hu Bolin secured third place in the Domestic A overall standings, further reinforcing KAYO Team’s leading position among domestic off-road competitors.

As an important stop on the national motocross calendar, the Chongqing Jiangjin round not only provided a competitive platform for riders but also served as a real-world proving ground for Chinese off-road motorcycles. From large-displacement battles in MX1 to youth competition in MX85, domestic off-road models of different displacements and market positions were comprehensively tested under high-intensity race conditions. Key aspects such as powertrain performance, chassis design, suspension tuning, and overall durability were fully demonstrated. With the continuous improvement of the championship system, the China Motocross Championship is evolving into an essential platform for domestic brands to validate core technologies, showcase product strength, and drive industrial upgrading—injecting sustained momentum into the high-quality development of China’s motorcycle industry.
