CFMOTO Aspar Team Won Double at the Michelin Grand Prix of Hungary
From August 22nd to 24th, the annual MotoGP race arrived at the Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary. The CFMOTO Aspar team achieved a dominant victory, sweeping both the Moto2 and Moto3 titles, achieving another historic feat and capturing the attention of fans and media worldwide.
The Moto2 class saw a thrilling showdown. CFMOTO Aspar’s Alonso, with his exemplary late-race performance, defeated his Italian and Spanish rivals to become the first Colombian rider to win a Moto2 Grand Prix. Alonso maintained a stable third position throughout the mid-race. Entering the final three laps, he used meticulous line control and explosive speed to repeatedly overtake his opponents and enter the race for the win. In a crucial corner on the final lap, Alonso decisively passed Moreira and withstood relentless pressure from Gonzalez to cross the finish line with a narrow margin of less than 0.2 seconds, securing the Moto2 Grand Prix victory and marking a significant milestone in his career.
Meanwhile, the Moto3 race saw an even more thrilling final showdown. Young rider Quiles of the CFMOTO Aspar team engaged in a tight battle with his rival Perrone throughout the race, ultimately securing the victory by a mere 0.018 seconds. From the outset, Quiles secured the lead with a flawless start, leading to a multi-car battle with Perrone, Muñoz, and others. On the final lap, Perrone briefly took the lead, but Quiles, with precise braking and acceleration out of Turn 5, overtook him. He then defended his position through the subsequent turns with impeccable defense, ultimately securing the victory with a nearly side-by-side lead.
This double championship achievement not only marks a historic breakthrough for the CFMOTO Aspar team, but also significantly enhances the team’s brand influence in the global motorcycle racing world. As the season progresses, the team has firmly established itself as a core contender in both the Moto2 and Moto3 categories. Looking ahead to the upcoming season, CFMOTO will continue to strengthen its technology research and development and rider development system, aiming for more championship victories. Let’s look forward to their strong performance in the remaining events of this season.
