On September 22, the 23rd China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor) successfully concluded at the Chongqing International Expo Center. Over the four-day event, it welcomed 250,000 visitors, including 150,000 from outside Chongqing, with more than 40,000 trade visitors and 3,861 overseas attendees from 94 countries and regions.

As China’s only national-level motorcycle exhibition, CIMAMotor is jointly organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce Chongqing Chamber of Commerce, the China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycles, and Chongqing Exhibition Center Co., Ltd., with strong support from the Chongqing Municipal Government, with guidance from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Chongqing Committee and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology. Recognized as a world-class leading motorcycle exhibition, CIMAMotor serves as a major platform for new product and technology launches, brand showcases, business trade, technical exchanges, and authoritative industry information releases, leading new trends in the global motorcycle industry.

A total of 950 domestic and international exhibitors gathered at this year’s expo, showcasing over 3,000 vehicles in static and dynamic displays across a 160,000-square-meter exhibition area. The event featured 38 press conferences and new product test ride activities, unveiling more than 50 debut models. A contingent of 1,621 journalists from 855 domestic and overseas media outlets provided onsite coverage, disseminating the latest trends in the global motorcycle industry. As of 10:00 AM on September 22, the cumulative online topic volume related to CIMAMotor had reached 6.479 billion.

China Motorcycle Chongqing Forum Successfully Held — Injecting New Momentum for Industry Upgrading

The 2025 China Motorcycle Chongqing Forum, themed “Together Toward Breakthrough,” was successfully held on September 18 at the Wyndham Chongqing Yuelai. The forum brought together nearly 300 representatives from upstream and downstream enterprises, experts, scholars, and media to explore future development paths for the industry.

Attendees included Tu Xingyong, Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology; Zuo Zongshen, Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycles and Chairman of Zongshen Industrial Group; Wang Xiling, Director and Second-Level Inspector of the Membership Department of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce; as well as guests from international institutions such as the Consulate General of the Republic of Italy in Chongqing and the Mexico Chamber of Commerce in China Chongqing Chapter.

Through formats including keynote speeches, round table discussions, and sharing sessions, the forum facilitated productive dialogues on long-term development, collaborative overseas expansion, domestic market strategies, and innovation in electrification and intelligence, injecting new momentum into the qualitative upgrade of China’s motorcycle industry.

The forum also featured the CIMA Knights Award Ceremony. Six knights representing the Red, Yellow, Blue, and Rainbow categories were honored. A representative Red Knight expressed gratitude to CIMAMotor for providing a platform for riders to express themselves and pursue their passion, advocating the concept of “making riding a lifestyle” and helping spread it further, thereby invigorating the promotion and growth of China’s motorcycle culture.

Exhibition Scaled 160,000 sqm — Record 950 Exhibitors Participated

Under the theme “Leading Industry Development, Creating a Better Future,” CIMAMotor 2025 focused on the trends of electrification, intelligence, and connectivity. The exhibition spanned 160,000 square meters, attracting a record 950 enterprises from China, the United States, Italy, Germany, France, Japan, Hong Kong China, Taiwan China, and more. Exhibits covered motorcycles, parts, riding gear, and related services, with 75 global motorcycle and electric vehicle brands showcasing over 3,000 models in static and dynamic displays.

Over 40 global motorcycle brands gathered, including Honda, Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Zongshen, Cyclone, VOGE, BENDA, KOVE, Lifan, π2, Dayang, ZXMOTO, Newway, MBP, Taying, Morini, Ghost, LKCO, Tarom, Jiajue, LETBE, Marshal, Changjiang, KEWS, Huayang, Mojiang, KAMAX, ROADEVER, and BNK, covering all mainstream fuel segments like cruisers, scooters, street bikes, retro, sports bikes, adventure, tourers, and off-road.

Over 30 electric vehicle brands, such as Yadea, Senben, NIU, Surron, Talaria, Apollo, Caofen, YIPOWER, Arctic Leopard, Motorsoul, Black Knight, Swellow, and 79Bike, displayed models ranging from e-bicycles and light e-scooters to high-performance electric motorcycles.

Global component leaders like Brembo, Schaeffler, DID, Pirelli, Cheng Shin, TsunTyre, Herolu, Yu’an, Lide, Shell, Shunfeng, Yesheng, Taisi Wheel, Zhenghe, ASTEMO, GEX, and Topone exhibited alongside top EV component suppliers such as Ampace, Sunwin, Jinyuxing, Xinwei Power, Bakpower, Quanshun, Yuma, Yuanqu, Saiying Power, Lingbo, Ruide, Joyroom, Eve Power, Daao, Yujia, and Sunwoda.

Some 200 global riding gear brands, including SHOEI, AGV, HJC, FASEED, Café Racer, AVA, KUSHITANI, RSMORAX, KYT, BELL, FURCHTLOS, Duhan, GSB, DAINESE, Alpinestars, Saiyu, BEON, SBK, BILMOLA, RYMIC, Chengwei, SENA, CARDO, Vimoto, Insta360, ASMAX, CC, FEHER, Maluxun, AMZ, Marushin, MotoJazz, and Huhui Group, launched new products.

Exhibitors represented top-tier manufacturing capabilities across the entire industry chain, including fuel and electric motorcycles, EFI systems, shock absorbers, chains/sprockets, clutches, brakes, tires, frames, batteries, instruments, electrical components, locks, lights, motors, controllers, chargers, lubricants, customization parts, top cases, helmets, riding suits, gloves, boots, armor, comms systems, and action cameras.

Over 50 New Models Debuted — Smart, Personalized and High-Performance Products Lead New Trends

CIMAMotor hosted 27 press conferences and 11 test ride activities, unveiling over 50 debut models. Innovations included mature large-displacement motorcycles, new fuel models with automatic transmission, smart-connected electric two-wheelers with cutting-edge design, as well as niche products like personalized small-displacement bikes, electric off-road models, electric ADVs, and electric racing bikes. Smart touring gear, infotainment systems, and customization parts also highlighted the migration of automotive technology to two-wheelers.

At this year’s expo, Honda globally debuted two four-cylinder CB-series models. Zongshen Cyclone launched the RA1000 sport cruiser and AQS401 E-Clutch edition.VOGE introduced the DS800X ADV domestically for the first time. BENDA released 4 new models and 3 new engines. Kove introduced two new motorcycles.ZXMOTO showcased 8 new models.Triumph showcased three refreshed models. Moto Morini released three new ADVs. MBP debuted three new models. Lambretta introduced three new products. Huayang Racing unveiled two new motorcycles. Marshai Xiangshuai launched two significant new models while upgrading its “Four Assurances” service. KEWS introduced six new products, while Tianying, Pulaike, and other fuel-motorcycle brands also presented new releases.

In the electric sector, Black Knight unveiled six new models; Morsharing introduced five flagship products; Champ released two lightweight premium electric motorcycles; and Haochen also launched its latest new models.

Pirelli introduced two high-performance tires for the first time in the Chinese market. AMPACE launched the industry’s first 72V 90Ah large single lithium battery. DAINESE held the world’s first delivery ceremony for the Valentino Rossi “Golden Legend” VR46 set. Over 100 new component products were also unveiled.

Compared with the previous edition, the number of electric motorcycle exhibitors increased by 60%, while exhibitors of smart technologies and accessories grew by 20%, clearly demonstrating the industry’s strong momentum toward electrification, intelligence, and higher value-added transformation.

USD 320 Million in Overseas Orders, RMB 225 Million in Domestic Sales — CIMAMotor’s Trade Platform Role Highlighted

CIMAMotor served not only as a display window but also as a new engine for domestic sales growth and a key platform for cross-border cooperation.

Through partnerships with Tmall and Douyin E-commerce, domestic e-commerce transactions reached RMB 225 million during the event.

The concurrent TWO WHEELER-CBE promoted in six languages targeted markets in South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Japan. Global campaigns were launched across more than a hundred international motorcycle or financial media outlets and popular overseas social media platforms, showcasing China’s vast motorcycle market, manufacturing capacity, and cooperation opportunities to the world.

Dedicated procurement matchmaking sessions were held, releasing over a hundred purchasing demands from countries including Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and Indonesia. The total intended purchase volume reached USD 320 million, covering complete motorcycles, electric two-wheelers, motorcycle parts, electric vehicle components, smart motorcycle devices, riding apparel, and more. Over 200 Chinese companies engaged in precise matchmaking with buyers, with South American purchasers bringing their own Spanish interpreters, leading to multiple purchase agreements on site.

The “CIMA Honor Manufacturing Live” broadcast 22 brand sessions over three days, helping Chinese companies transition from “product export” to “brand and supply chain export.”

30 Interactive Experience Activities — Over 2,550 Motorcycle Clubs Gathered Nationwide

CIMAMotor 2025 featured 30 interactive activities, with the CIMA Carnival Night upgraded into a four-day, three-night carnival, offering a grand annual gathering for global riders and a trendsetting motorcycle festival for local citizens.

Through the CIMA Knights Selection and Female Knights Selection, six CIMA Knights and three Female Knights were selected from 85 outstanding riders across 22 provinces and regions, showcasing the professionalism of Chinese motorcyclists and promoting a positive riding culture. The organizing committee, together with past CIMA Knights and Labor Knights, launched the “CIMAMotor Charity Campaign for Girls’ Education,” sponsoring 40 underprivileged girls in remote areas of Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Sichuan, Hubei, Liaoning, and Shanxi, carrying forward the knightly spirit and demonstrating social responsibility.

CIMAMotor Favorite Motorcycle Models Selection selected three most popular models. The committee partnered with manufacturers to host test rides, slow races, Gymkhana experiences, and C-Turn Show, offering riders of all skill levels opportunities to showcase their techniques and enjoy the thrill of motorcycling. The specially curated CIMAMotor Town showcased 60 rare custom bikes, integrated with global cuisine and trendy cultural creation.

2,550 motorcycle clubs from across China organized group rides to Chongqing. As part of the National Riders’ Gathering, 200 riders joined a city parade, dynamically showcasing new motorcycle products, technologies, and the spirit of safe and civilized riding.

The Labor Knights Festival & Selection was held under the theme “Labor Creates Honor.” It highlighted the social value of motorcycles in flexible employment and urban services. Through a nationwide selection, platforms were created for riders to showcase themselves. In collaboration with the Chongqing Express Association, riders from China Post, SF Express, JD, Taobao Flash, Meituan, FlashEx, STO, and other major courier and delivery platforms were invited to participate and celebrate. Six outstanding Labor Knights were selected from more than 100 candidates nationwide. Together with consumer brands such as Uni-President and Eastroc, the event also delivered drinks and care packages to rider service stations across the city, showing social care for front-line riders.

CIMAMotor also collaborated with Fuling, Jiangjin, Wansheng, and other districts to launch themed riding routes. Rongchang created a “Rongchang Canteen” at the expo, allowing visitors to experience the unique charm of Chongqing’s magnificent landscapes and vibrant culture. CIMAMotor also partnered with 220 local merchants and 1,511 stores to launch the CIMAMotor City Heat Map, offering exclusive consumer experiences and distributing millions of coupons to visiting riders. Additionally, 11 offline motorcycle-themed events were hosted citywide, inviting both riders and citizens to join the celebrations and experience the fusion of motorcycle culture and urban lifestyle.
