At the end of last September, Jianshe launched the “Xiang Shuai Heavy-duty Motorcycle”. At present, the minimum displacement of “Xiang Shuai Heavy-duty motorcycle” series is 500cc and the maximum is 900cc.

Appearance

JS700 is a 700cc V-twin cruiser. You can see the shadow of Halley on JS700, but a relatively slender tail. JS700 has a body size of 2,360mm*830mm* 1,070mm, and a wheelbase of 1,600mm. It also has a round-headlight and long-tail version (difference in the headlight, meter and tail).

The square headlight, with lenses and LED light bar, have a high degree of identification, and is suitable for night illumination. The enclosed lampshade makes the front look more concise.

The U-shaped handlebar is more casual and comfortable for daily riding. The handlebar buttons has backlight, making it easier to operate at night.

TFT LCD meter shows all necessary data, which can be connected to the mobile phone via bluetooth.

The large water-drop fuel tank has a capacity of 22L, delivering a long cruising range. The unique nameplate on the fuel tank gives a strong sense of history.

The seat height is only 666mm, making it friendly for most people. The saddle is comfortably cushioned and properly shaped to improve both comfort and handling. The pillion is not equipped with backrest, but can be installed with one later.

The horizontal C-shaped LED taillights deliver better warning effect.

The front inverted and rear double spring hydraulic shock absorbers are both adjustable, with Nissin callipers. The front uses the double-disc two-way double-piston brake, plus ABS is provided.

“No Cruiser without V-twin”–V-twin is the real property of a cruise. V-twin bring unique visual effect and sufficient large torque performance. JS700’s engine is provided by GAOKIN. The actual displacement is 681.3cc, the maximum power is 36kW/7,000rpm, and the maximum torque is 56N·m/5,500rpm.

The surface of the cylinder head is polished to look more metallic. The large water tank enables good heat dissipation of the engine, which is especially important for large displacement cruisers. There is exquisite dragon pattern on the filter cover, and the user’s surname can be engraved over the pattern.

The single-side double exhaust tubes make attractive sound.

The 52-teeth large chain disc helps improve low-torque performance. Would it even better if replacing the chain with a belt?

The tires are 140/75-15 at the front and 200/55-17 at the back. The rear tire is 200mm in width.

JS700’s appearance and V-twin engine are its unique advantages. The Nissin braking system, LED lights, TFT LCD screen, and other mainstream configuration, present a higher sense of technology.

Riding experience

The deep, loud sound attracts much attention.

With a 666mm seat, coupled with the narrowed body and front section of the seat, it allows a 1.6m rider to touch the ground on both feet, enhancing the sense of security. JS700 allows a very casual riding posture, suitable for a long cruise.

Riding JS700 through corners is more relaxed.

The torque advantage is further amplified due to the large chain disc. A strong thrust is felt when accelerating a little for starting. It can easily climb up small slopes by controlling the clutch at idle speed.

The maximum torque of JS700 is 56N·m/5,500rpm. Because of large displacement, overtaking others or acceleration is easy.

Because it is a small chain engine, the vibration is far less than that of other same level engines. It also takes into account the power demand for medium-high revs. The maximum power is output at 7,000rpm, and it reaches the red area at about 8,000rpm. High tolerance and strong torque highlight this engine.

A slight deficiency is that the brake is felt soft, perhaps because of the body weight.

Summary

JS700 well defines a large displacement cruiser. Seeing from the configuration and price, JS700 is the new level of domestic V-twin cruisers.

This kind of cruiser is not positioned for all users. JS700 is targeting the well-experienced middle-aged riders.
