On July 24, 2026, Chinese new energy two-wheeler brand SUNRA officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with GOECO, a new energy mobility solutions brand under Renewal Energy Group (REG) in Indonesia. The partnership will focus on electric motorcycles, battery-swapping solutions, and smart mobility services, aiming to explore more efficient and convenient green transportation solutions for the Indonesian market.

The cooperation marks another important step in SUNRA’s continued expansion of its new energy mobility business in Indonesia. As one of the world’s largest motorcycle markets, Indonesia has a strong demand for two-wheel transportation, while the growth of electric mobility and green transportation initiatives has created new opportunities for electric motorcycle manufacturers.

By combining electric motorcycles with battery-swapping services, SUNRA and GOECO will explore mobility solutions tailored for high-frequency riding scenarios, including tide-hailing services and urban delivery applications. The battery-swapping model is designed to reduce charging downtime and improve operational efficiency, providing users with a more flexible electric mobility option.

Compared with traditional charging methods, battery swapping can significantly shorten the time required for energy replenishment, making it particularly suitable for commercial users who rely on motorcycles for long working hours. GOECO has developed services around smart electric motorcycles and battery-swapping system, with its mobile application supporting functions such as battery swap station searches, vehicle status management, smart control, and digital riding services.

For SUNRA, this strategic partnership further strengthens its long-term commitment to the Indonesian new energy market. Previously, SUNRA has already been involved in the development of Indonesia’s electric vehicle ecosystem, exploring cooperation opportunities related to battery management, charging, and swapping infrastructure with local partners.
