Canton Fair, an important platform for China’s foreign trade and opening up, is well known as the “barometer” of China’s foreign trade. On 23^rd March, press office of Guangdong government held a conference, at which they notified the COVID-19 epidemic situation and their work of prevention and control.

At this conference, the deputy director-general of provincial department of commerce Ma Hua expressed that in consideration of the global epidemic development trend, especially the high risk of imported cases, the 127^th (Spring) Canton Fair is confirmed not to be held on 15^th April as scheduled. And then, Guangdong will assess the epidemic situation comprehensively and actively make a proposal to the relevant department.
