The 136th Canton Fair: Chinese Motorcycle Companies Shine with New Products and Global Ambitions
The 136th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) was held as scheduled from October 15 to 19, 2024, at the Pazhou Exhibition Hall in Guangzhou. As a benchmark exhibition for China’s foreign trade, the Canton Fair has been hailed as “China’s No. 1 Exhibition” due to its long history, massive scale, rich variety of goods, and global network of international buyers.
According to official data, as of October 14, approximately 150,000 overseas buyers from 209 countries and regions had pre-registered, with more than 70% coming from countries and areas along the “Belt and Road” route. As a major global motorcycle producer and consumer, China’s motorcycle industry continues to expand into overseas markets, driven by innovation. Motorcycle exports have played a crucial role in promoting the industry’s development.
Highlights of the Motorcycle Exhibition Area at the Canton Fair
The motorcycle exhibition area at this Canton Fair was mainly located in Halls 14.1, 15.1, and 16.2. Chinese motorcycle manufacturers showcased their latest products, demonstrating their strong capabilities in technological innovation and industrial chain integration to global buyers.
As the only English-language sourcing guide focused on China’s motorcycles, electric vehicles, and parts & accessories exports, the MEGA YEARBOOK 2024 Fall Edition has been fully upgraded. It features 396 Chinese motorcycle and parts & accessories exporters, covering the most popular export models, including sport bikes, street bikes, cruisers, off-road motorcycles, and scooters. Through targeted distribution in the motorcycle exhibition area at the Canton Fair, the publication has garnered widespread praise from global buyers.
At this Canton Fair, well-known companies such as CFMOTO, QJMOTOR, and LONCIN exhibited products covering almost all motorcycle categories, and detailed information on their exhibits can be found in the MEGA YEARBOOK Fall Edition.
CFMOTO
CFMOTO showcased popular motorcycle products such as the 650SR-R, 450SR, 800MT-X, 450MT, and 150SC, as well as the U10 Pro and CFORCE 1000 OVERLAND all-terrain vehicles. The company demonstrated its diversified product layout, ranging from two-wheelers to all-terrain vehicles, and showcased its technological prowess and innovation capabilities in the high-end market.
QJMOTOR
The highlight of QJMOTOR’s booth was the SFA1000 all-terrain vehicle and the SRK600 SX ADV model, along with the new SRK 800RX ADV model. QJMOTOR also displayed its commuter motorcycles and scooter series, further consolidating its diversified global market presence.
LONCIN & VOGE
LONCIN’s high-end brand, VOGE, introduced the DS900X ADV model and several scooter series products, which became the focus of attention at the exhibition. The XWOLF1000 all-terrain vehicle on display also demonstrated LONCIN’s deep strength in diversified product lines.
JEDI
JEDI once again showcased its “most beautiful sport bike,” the K750, at the Canton Fair. In addition, the company brought the Jedi 750 cruiser, the Kylin K750 police version, the FR750 vintage street bike, and the new NK250 street bike, further enriching its product offerings and highlighting its unique advantages in design and manufacturing.
SHINERAY & SWM
SHINERAY, along with its brand SWM, exhibited several street bike products, including the 393A, 38B, and the featured V1200 large-displacement cruiser. Moreover, a brand-new off-road model, the 48C, made its debut, further enhancing SHINERAY’s competitiveness in the high-end market.
YINGANG
YINGANG’s booth displayed a wide range of best-selling models, including street bikes, off-road motorcycles, underbone motorcycles, and scooters. The launch of the new T4 scooter attracted the attention of many overseas customers. This 150cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke scooter added a new highlight for YINGANG to further expand into the international market.
BENDA
As a representative brand of Chinese cruisers, BENDA showcased several heavyweight cruiser models at this Canton Fair, including the Dark Flag 950, LFC700, Chinchilla500, Napoleon500, and Napoleon250. The exceptional design made BENDA’s booth a focal point for international buyers.
DAYANG
DAYANG, a leading scooter manufacturer in northern China, displayed best-selling models from multiple series, including the ADV150, ADV350, VRF125, and VRS125. The newly introduced TIMO450 cruiser, equipped with a V-twin engine, garnered high attention from overseas buyers for its outstanding appearance design and craftsmanship. Although not yet launched, it has already received numerous order intentions.
Taizhou Manufacturing Cluster
Taizhou, a core area for motorcycle and mold manufacturing in China, has given rise to many capable scooter manufacturers, such as ZNEN, WANGYE, TEYIN, GUSITE, TARO, LONGJIA, QIANXIN, JIAJUE, JONWAY and SANYE, thanks to its complete industrial chain and supporting advantages.
During this exhibition, ZNEN Motor showcased several new ADV sport scooters; WANGYE launched various new scooter products, including the PENTA150; TEYIN, GUSITE, TARO, LONGJIA, QIANXIN, JONWAY and other brands also brought numerous models, demonstrating the strong manufacturing capabilities and innovation of Taizhou.
