A New Hardcore ADV Choice: VOGE DS800X Launched in China Starting at RMB 39,980

VOGE has recently introduced its new mid-displacement adventure motorcycle, the VOGE DS800X, to the Chinese market, with an official starting price of RMB 39,980 (the three-box luggage version costs an additional RMB 4,000). Positioned as a key model developed for long-distance touring and multi-terrain riding, the DS800X features significant enhancements in its powertrain, chassis setup, and long-range touring capability. It is designed as a hardcore adventure motorcycle capable of balancing highway cruising with off-road exploration.

In terms of power, the DS800X is equipped with a 798cc twin engine featuring a 270-degree crankshaft configuration. The engine produces a maximum output of 70 kW at 9,000 rpm and 81 N·m of torque at 6,500 rpm. This crankshaft layout delivers stronger low-end torque and produces a power character similar to that of a V-twin engine. The engine is also fitted with dual balance shafts to reduce vibration and improve smoothness during long-distance riding. The drivetrain users a hydraulic clutch system paired with large-diameter friction plates to enhance torque transmission efficiency and durability, ensuring stable and reliable performance even under demanding riding conditions or extended journeys.

For the chassis, the DS800X adopts a high-strength steel double-cradle frame designed to improve torsional rigidity and overall riding stability. The suspension system is supplied by KYB, with both the front and rear units offering multiple adjustment options to suit different riding styles and terrain. Braking performance comes from NISSIN calipers, working together with dual-channel ABS and traction control to provide reliable braking and stability across both paved roads and off-road environments. The motorcycle also runs on Pirelli Scorpion series all-terrain tires, designed to deliver a balance between on-road stability and off-road grip.

To enhance its long-distance touring capability, the DS800X is equipped with a 24-liter fuel tank, providing extended range for adventure travel. The motorcycle also features 220 mm of ground clearance, a high-mounted exhaust, and spoked wheels, allowing it to better handle rough terrain and challenging road conditions. Additional touring-oriented features include heated grips, a heated seat, and a tire pressure and temperature monitoring system, improving comfort and safety during cold weather riding or extended journeys.

On the technology side, the DS800X is fitted with a 7-inch vertical TFT display that clearly presents riding information and integrates a built-in dash camera. The motorcycle also supports a connected vehicle system that can record riding routes and synchronize riding data, providing riders with a more intelligent and connected riding experience. In terms of styling, the model is available in VOGE Yellow and Basalt Black, continuing the rugged rally-inspired design language that emphasizes functionality and strength.

With the launch of the DS800X in China, VOGE further expands its ADV lineup. Featuring strong performance, capable off-road hardware, and long-distance comfort features, this mid-displacement adventure motorcycle offers riders seeking multi-terrain riding experiences a new and competitive option in the segment.
