On May 16, 2025, the Chinese brand YADEA held a ceremony to roll off the production line of its first locally produced e-vehicle in Ocoyoacac, Mexico State, officially opening its manufacturing and R&D center in North America. Also at the ceremony, local authorities including Ocoyoacac Mayor Nancy Valdez, representatives of the Mexico State Government and local agencies also celebrated this important milestone.

Mexico occupies an important geographical location in North America, and naturally becomes a logistics hub to the United States and the entire Latin America. The factory will not only serve as a manufacturing center, but will also be responsible for regional R&D and localized innovation. This factory is YADEA’s first overseas manufacturing base in Mexico. It is not only YADEA’s tenth global production base, but also the first factory in North America. Its total investment is about $80 million and is expected to be completed within three years. The first phase was achieved the first vehicle rolled off the assembly line; after the completion of the second phase(estimated in 2026), the annual production capacity will be increased to 500,000 vehicles, significantly enhancing its supply capacity in the Latin American and North American markets.

YADEA will continue to introduce advanced production technology and intelligent, high-quality electric vehicles to meet different needs around the world. The company also has an expansion plan specifically for Mexico, as well as providing logistics services to other countries in the region. As part of its long-term strategy, YADEA will also cooperate with local education and research institutions to train professionals in the field of new energy and attract local suppliers to support regional growth.
