2021 KYMCO AK550 RECEIVES ETS UPGRADE
China – Recently, KYMCO Europe released the 2021 AK550 ETS version with reduced engine power to comply with Euro-V emission standards, but it can still reach a top speed of 160km/h. The new AK550 has the new champagne gold color scheme.
The powertrain is still a 550.4cc two-cylinder water-cooled engine, but has been reduced the maximum power and maximum torque from 53.7hp and 55N·m to 51hp (7,500rpm) and 51.9N·m (5,750rpm).
It uses all-aluminum frame and belt drive. The front suspension adopts 41mm inverted fork with a 120mm travel. The brake system includes the front 270mm dual discs and Brembo calipers, and the rear 260mm single disc. Tire sizes are front 120/70-15 and rear 160/60-15. Others equipment includes Noodoe interconnected meter, keyless start-up, two-section adjustable windshield, adjustable seat backrest, and heating handlebar. The front storage space has a USB outlet. A full-face helmet can be stored under the seat.
