BENDA Dark Flag 500 Officially Released in China, Prices Start at ¥33,800
On April 27, BENDA, a brand focused on cruiser motorcycles, unveiled its V4-engined Dark Flag 500 (Darkflag 500) in the Alxa region of China, announcing the Chinese market prices for the 500 Ultra edition at ¥33,800 and the Pro edition at ¥36,800.
The Dark Flag 500 features a 500cc V4 engine, equipped with rear cylinder deactivation technology at idle. When the coolant temperature exceeds 60℃ during idle, the rear cylinders are automatically shut off to prevent further temperature increase, which is particularly important for a comfortable cruising experience in summer. This technology is being used for the first time in a domestic engine platform. The bike also comes with adaptive electronic suspension, which, by actively adjusting the rear air suspension, allows for a switch between 700mm and 670mm seat heights to accommodate both sporty and cruising riding modes. Furthermore, it features an electronic throttle, cruise control, switchable ABS + TCS, and other advanced configurations.
Aesthetically, the Dark Flag 500’s instrument cluster combines an analog gauge with a monochrome display, and even moves the fuel gauge indicator light to the top of the fuel cap. Based on this design, the Pro edition comes standard with a circular array exhaust, while the Ultra edition offers a choice of two distinct exhaust styles, evoking the spirit of American retro cruisers.
