“Striving diligently and moving forward hand in hand,” on March 17th, the inaugural meeting of the CCCM International Development Branch and the High-level Forum on High-Quality Development of Foreign Trade Export in the Automotive Industry were successfully held in Nansha, Guangzhou.

More than 100 enterprises from all over the country, including motorcycle manufacturers, parts suppliers, and foreign trade companies, as well as over 160 participants attended the inauguration ceremony. Wang Guoju from the Ministry of Commerce’s Foreign Trade Department Electromechanical Export, Director Zong Jun from the National Federation of Industry and Commerce’s Organization Construction Department, representatives from the Chongqing Commerce Commission, and the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, along with other relevant leaders, were invited to attend the conference.

The meeting was chaired by Zhang Hongbo, Secretary-General of the CCCM. He first introduced the purpose of establishing the International Development Branch, the preparation process, and the industry’s export situation. After more than 30 years of development and the tireless efforts of industry enterprises, China’s motorcycle foreign trade export work has achieved remarkable results. The accumulated export volume has exceeded 180 million units, exporting to more than 200 countries and regions worldwide. The export volume has ranked first in the world for 28 consecutive years, currently accounting for 50% of the industry’s annual sales and 70% of the world’s annual motorcycle trade volume. Foreign trade exports have made significant contributions to the motorcycle industry and have played a supportive and promoting role in the industry’s development for many years. The birth of the CCCM International Development Branch conforms to the development trend of further expanding the export scale and improving the export quality of the motorcycle industry.

Li Bin, Executive Vice President of CCCM, delivered a speech and read the approval for the establishment of the International Development Branch. Wang Guoju, from the Ministry of Commerce’s Foreign Trade Department Electromechanical Export, expressed his hope that the newly established International Development Branch would strengthen the analysis of the international situation, enhance its information acquisition capabilities in overseas markets, and provide strong support for enterprises going global, truly promoting the growth and strength of the motorcycle industry ecosystem. Industry associations should continue to play an irreplaceable role in promoting industry development, solving industry concerns, building communication platforms for enterprises, and promoting industry growth.

The conference elected the council units and leaders of the International Development Branch. Chongqing Loncin Import and Export Trading Company and 27 other companies became the governing units of the International Development Branch. Zhang Lian, Chairman of Guangzhou Decheng Holding Group, was elected as the first president of the branch, and Yu Lianlian, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Tongli Power Technology Co., Ltd., was elected as the first secretary-general of the branch secretariat.

Zuo Zongshen, President of CCCM, delivered a concluding speech in which he congratulated the establishment of the International Development Branch and put forward suggestions and requirements for its construction. The branch should fully recognize the essential role of international development work in the motorcycle industry and enterprises’ exports, be brave in taking responsibility, and actively take action. It should focus on and study new foreign trade development models and play a vital role in industry standardization and self-discipline. President Zuo also required the branch to understand members’ needs in a timely manner, grasp market dynamics, rely on the country’s various support policies, boldly carry out work, and lead everyone to go global.

The successful establishment of the International Development Branch and the high-level industry forum marked a new era of development for China’s motorcycle export industry. The branch will lead the Chinese motorcycle industry to overcome obstacles and ride the waves in international markets, embarking on the path of high-quality development in foreign trade.
