CFMOTO 2024 Dakar Rally Stage 2 Ranking Rises to 6th Place
Date: January 7th
Stage: Stage 2
Stage Distance: Liaison > 192 km – Special > 463 km
Stage Ranking: 6th in the QUAD category
Race summary: On January 7th, the second stage of the race was not easier than the first, but rather more challenging, putting the CFMOTO TRT team in their most difficult situation since the start of the competition.
Due to lingering issues from the previous stage, Antanas Kanopkinas had to ride the entire 463+ kilometers without front-wheel drive, completing the race in a rear-wheel-drive format. Just over 100 kilometers into the stage, he encountered another situation of a punctured tire. Also, due to issues from the previous stage, at around 200 kilometers, the exhaust pipe had problems, hindering the engine’s output, preventing him from achieving 100% power.
However, these challenges did not stop the experienced Antanas Kanopkinas and the resilient CFORCE1000. Antanas not only safely brought the vehicle back to the base camp but also secured a 6th place in the QUAD category for the stage, elevating the overall ranking to 6th in the QUAD category.
