CFMOTO drive technology onwards with comprehensive spread at 2024 EICMA show
5th November 2024
CFMOTO, one of the fastest growing powered two-and-four-wheel powersport manufacturers, brought its passionate drive for eye-catching design and advanced technology to the biggest stage of all. CFMOTO was among the heavy hitters of the industry at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy from November 5-10 for the 110th edition of the largest attended annual motorcycle expo in the world, with over half a million visitors walking through the doors of the Fiera Milano.
The company constructed a large and attractive show stand to display over 30 new products and concepts, as well as sub-brands ZEEHO and GOES. The firm from Hangzhou, China ‘started their engines’ at EICMA with two press conferences delivered to a packed eclectic gathering of media, dealers and other guests, before the entrance gates were activated for the public.
CFMOTO were pushing their ‘Tech Driven’ mantra for EICMA with the unveiling of new motorcycles and an engine concept as well as four-wheel vehicles for 2025, with which CFMOTO hope to build on their position and reputation as market leaders in the sector. The presentations were made by Markus Ferch (CFMOTO VP Europe), Carles Solsona (CFMOTO Design Director), and Alexei Mikhailov (Designer CFP DIG) but there was also a special guest of honor with CFMOTO’s brilliant record-breaking Moto3 World Champion, David Alonso, also making an appearance with his CFMOTO Aspar Team prior to the last Grand Prix of an outstanding season in MotoGP at Barcelona, Spain. CFMOTO have conquered the Moto3 class in only their third campaign at the highest level.
EICMA was a celebration of three main strands for CFMOTO. The first was the company’s growth and emergence in 35 years of history. Secondly, present achievements with R&D and engineering and the growing portfolio of first-class motorcycles and ATVs, such as production of the one millionth ORV and the Moto3 title. Thirdly the declaration of full commitment to the future with fresh ideas and the imagination to inspire a wider, fresh group of mobile users.
675SR-R
The first covers to be pulled away under the EICMA lights revealed the stunning 675SR-R. Clearly boasting a virulent sport DNA through its design, aggressive lines and lighting layout, the bike also has the performance potential to be a rocket on the road and a toy for the track.
The triple cylinder 4-stroke liquid-cooled DOHC motor pumps out addictive linear torque thanks to the 120-degree crank and taps-out at 68Nm at 8250rpm. It’ll take only 3.6 seconds to reach 100kmph and has a maximum speed of 220kmph. Power peaks at a hefty 66kW at 11,000rpm. The 675SR-R is tuned to thrill while optimization of the engine package virtually erases vibration and ensure exhilaration as the rider clicks up through the Quickshifter. The engine is wrapped in a high-strength chromium-molybdenum frame (with an integral cast steel base) to achieve the best balance between light weight and maximum maneuverability.
The ergonomics are purposeful and ‘racey’ but also fine-tuned for comfort and practicality for a daily ride. Absorption through tricky road bumps is controlled with finesse by fully adjustable upside-down KYB 41mm front forks and rear shock. 300mm and 240mm disc brakes provide steady and efficient stopping power while the dual-compound sports tires are the durable ‘glue’ for a variety of street surfaces.
The 675SR-R may look like a performance tool orientated for one purpose but the motorcycle carries a high-tech intelligent edge. Check out the 5” TFT with MotoPlay, gear change guidelights and a comprehensive interface to handle the information and settings from the 4G modules and 6D sensors of the ‘T-box’. OTA upgrades for the electronics and bike’s status is easily possible through the CFMOTO RIDE app where more customization is possible.
675NK
Adopting the same engine platform as the 675SR-R, the 675NK is the second generation of CFMOTO’s exceptional naked bike family and orientated to more mature riders and customers that expect an elevated product in this thriving segment.
Refinements to the bodywork permits the rider to move around for both comfort and wind resistance and the ergonomics are acutely aligned with the light alloy steel tubular frame for superb agility and the perception of fun without losing stability and assurance into any curve. The design of the LED lighting group is not only aesthetic but also responsive to rider reactions to better inform other road users (more rapid flashes).
Safety is emphasized through the dual-channel ABS and 2-level adjustable traction control as standard. The 675NK’s powerbase permits a more mellow 200kmph top speed and 11,000rpm compared its sporty cousin, although the beat from 0-100kmph happens at a similar rate: 3.9 seconds.
The 5” TFT contains the same array of features and interactivity as the 675SR-R: CFMOTO RIDE app synergy, OTA upgrades, T-box, Google Maps availability. But also has a tire pressure monitoring system included. Riders can expect a seat height of 810mm but this can be increased to 825mm or lower to 795mm with optional accessories. The 675NK is unmissable, whether in Glacier White or Tundra Gray.
CF-X
CFMOTO raised eyebrows with the introduction of the CF-X electric motocross concept while making a nod to the outstanding design and innovation philosophy conveyed by the ZEEHO brand. The CF-X has been created around the principals of enjoyable, competitive but also safe offroading: ‘experience more together’. The strength of the project filters through the benefits of zero emissions and the performance advantages of instant torque and acceleration and an immediate adrenaline hit. The CF-X can conjure the output of a 450cc ICE equivalent through the motor that also forms part of the handling package. Fabrication of the CF-X ‘ideal’ led to priorities of a high strength but ultra-light frame with a low center of gravity and acute centralization for prime agility. 310mm adjustable WP Suspension will take care of bumps and jumps and the ergonomics is orientated towards competition and limit-pushing from a 960mm seat height. Quality and precision as well as fine engineering is felt through every gram of the 125kg weight and the sturdiness of the high-end race-ready components. Advanced electronics for monitoring, personalization of three riding models and maintenance of the 3-1 400V drive system, propelling the rider to 50kmph in rapid time is also a highlight.
A liquid-cooled radiator mounted to the rear of the layout guarantees flow and optimization. Importantly, the CF-X styling shines a light on CFMOTO’s booming racing pedigree. The work is another excellent expression by the design department, forcing dynamism and efficiency to the forefront of any rider.
MASTER OF SPEED
A gesture, a clue and an intention. MASTER OF SPEED is an artistic celebration of speed and dynamism as well as a spiritual vision of a future CFMOTO high-level sportsbike.
Lines, fluidity and form: the imposing shape and polished surfaces reflect the pursuit of excellence and innovation, while the overall composition inspires a sense of lightness and control, of strength and precision. MASTER OF SPEED is a thought-provoking reminder that moving is being.
V.04
CFMOTO are going big. The announcement of the landmark V.04 engine development will mark a new product phase for the company and increase the scope of the CFMOTO portfolio to other segments of the market; areas where CFMOTO feels it can make an imprint. Details were revealed with the 90-degree V4 configuration, 997cc displacement, 81mm and 48.4 stroke. The projected power output is pegged at a figure over 156kW through 14,500rpm and expected maximum torque 114Nm.
Each component has been forged for uncompromising performance: balance, minimal vibration, linear delivery and smoothness. Finger followers are a notable inclusion for the output and the blend of lightness and strength is achieved with titanium connecting rods, intake and exhaust valves for peak potential but also reliability. The counter-rotating crankshaft is an example of the hardware and learning derived from elite competition like MotoGP. The V.04 is yet another way in which CFMOTO are explicitly ‘tech driven’.
ZFORCE Z10
CFMOTO’s Vice President of Sales for Europe , Markus Ferch, kicked off the press conference by introducing the current developments status of CFMOTO’s ORVs and this year’s milestones to the guests. Following his presentation, Design Director from CFP DIG, Alexei Mikhailov, who talked about the new chapter in the sport segment for CFMOTO.
The Z10 is the ultimate performance machine, built and created to conquer terrain, push limits, remove boundaries, and shatter clichés. The new 143HP turbocharged triple-cylinder engine is the first indication that this vehicle will get the adrenaline pumping, and then the FOX QSE shocks with three settings—’Soft’ for cruising, ‘Medium’ for tougher off-roading, and ‘Firm’ for fast-paced hardcore riding—will set the tone for the blast that day. The driver will have a multi-function steering wheel at his or her fingertips. In addition to the reactive start/stop button, there are switches to adjust settings and administer other controls without relinquishing grip. The information is beamed via a 12.3” MMI touchscreen with integrated Apple CarPlay, which sits at the center of the driver-centric cockpit.
CFMOTO CFORCE VISION GEN4
Another concept that emphasizes a design direction of minimalism with brute functionality and ambition. Sleek surfaces, accentuated volume, symmetry and sculpted boldness: all this comes through the CFORCE VISION GEN4 and is identified through the futuristic lighting and front matrix which is horizontal, animated and captivating, and is mirrored in the rear set-up. CFMOTO CFORCE VISION GEN4 has color accents, is simplistic and takes cues from architecture and the ideal marriage of form and function.
GOES
Twenty years after its formation in France and name as a major player in the European ORV market, GOES was purchased by CFMOTO in early 2024. GOES had established a strong presence in all-terrain vehicle production and had solidified a sales network of more than 1200 dealers in over 20 countries. The acquisition represented a significant milestone for CFMOTO in terms of product evolution and widening of the firm’s globalization plan. GOES has become a key strategic subsidiary for CFMOTO and crucial platform of specific off-road vehicle expertise. The drive and commitment to first-class quality remains hard on the throttle. GOES brand is built on the core values of Rugged, Reliable and Specialized.
GOES TERROX 500S/L
A beacon for a reliable and rugged mid-size ATV, the S and L versions of the GOES TERROX 500 series are apt reminders of the brand’s core value: more than 20,000km of rigorous testing mileage that has gone into the models to ensure impeccable standards. The GOES TERROX 500 series are up to any task and tailored to many work scenarios. With a substantial towing capacity of 600kg, they can pull more weight. More cargo space and larger storage boxes have been designed to allow users to carry more. Equipped with a specialized suspension system, the TERROX 500 models effortlessly tackle the most challenging terrains, while their enhanced comfort and premium feel are attributed to efficient engine heat dissipation, minimized vibrations, and the added thickness of the seat cushion.
GOES G-CORE T24
CFMOTO was also proud to introduce the GOES G-CORE T24 concept. The ethos of the product is mirrored by the styling. The core value beaming through the rugged, squared and simple lines. The GOES G-CORE T24 breathes consistency for the task at hand. The graphic touches, orange trim, futuristic lighting set-up and the titanium finish do not diminish the impression of quality and style behind the workmanship. Other details are G-shaped fixed towing rings, high mounted handlebar lights for better nocturnal visibility, perforated seat backrests for more breathability, multiple hook positions, quick release slots for easy accessory mounting, rubberized handgrips and a one-touch start process.
CFMOTO had plenty to say through the press conference presentations but the large stand itself contained even more treats. 2024 EICMA was also the first chance for the European market to clasp eyes on motorcycles like the 125NK naked bike, the 800MT-X and new 700MT that will enter dealers during the first quarter of 2025.
CFMOTO celebrated a 35th birthday in 2024. The firm has grown to have more than 3000 overseas dealers around the world covering more than 100 countries. CFMOTO counts on at least four R&D innovation centers spread globally and almost 1000 staff with a similar quantity of active technical and design patents. CFMOTO have created a world-class supply chain with durable, long-term associations with the likes of other industry standard-bearers.
Before the public in Milan were able to touch and see the full spectrum of CFMOTO’s ‘Tech Driven’ offerings, Markus Ferch brought the formalities to a close for media and invited guests. “The models showcased at this year’s EICMA represent not only the results of CFMOTO’s continuous innovation in design, and technological breakthroughs but also reflect the company’s understanding of the trends in the motorcycle and ORV markets, as well as its profound insights into the future of mobility,” he said. “CFMOTO will continue to lead with technological innovation, more high-performance, high-quality, and high-value products that exceed customer expectations in the global market.”
