Emerging Internet Brand Launched First E-Bike
SoloEra, a brand for the young people, was born in Shanghai. It is committed to creating good-looking and high-quality transportation tools for users, including new national standard electric bicycles, electric scooters, and shoes for daily walking.
SoloEra is a brand incubated by Sharkgulf, which was founded in 2018 with a core team consisting of experienced professionals in the automotive, motorcycle, smartphone, Internet and media fields. Its first product, the smart electric motorcycle Blueshark Robor, was launched in July 2019. Under the new national standard wave, aiming at the field of non-motor vehicle mobility, Blueshark’s brother brand SoloEra was established.
Benchmarking against NIU and Ninebot
On February 29, the emerging Internet brand SoloEra unveiled its first e-bicycle, SoloEra A1.
At the press conference, SoloEra A1’s configuration and specifications were presented in comparison with that of NIU UQi+ and Ninebot C80, benchmarking directly against the products of the two most popular Internet brands.
Brother of Blueshark
SoloEra is a brand under Sharkgulf Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., who launched another brand Blueshark last year.
Determined to develop electric vehicles for the young people, SoloEra’s first e-bicycle A1 is up to the new national standard.
Same family design as Blueshark
A1 looks elegant with a simple design style, which is introduced to share the same family design language with the Blueshark.
SoloEra A1 is equipped with a 400W permanent magnet brushless DC motor and a FOC controller. It provides two riding modes, Eco and Sport, with top speeds of 15km/h and 25 km/h respectively.
48V/22.5Ah lithium-ion battery
The battery life is claimed to be no less than 1000 times of full cycle charging and discharging, supporting direct charging and separate battery charging. With a theoretical cruising range of 80km, if commuting for 10km every day, SoloEra A1 can be used for one week for one full charge.
Less charging + faster charging
SoloEra A1 is equipped with an 18W quick charging port, a breakthrough in the field of two-wheelers that generally carry a 5W charging port.
Other configurations
SoloEra A1 adopts LED lamps and is added with turn signals. The meter can automatically adjust the brightness of display screen and displays time, speed, communication status, and other information. In addition, SoloEra A1 has the push-button startup function. It also has a special “SoloEra APP” to get to know the real-time information of the vehicle.
Overall, SoloEra A1’s configuration is not in any way inferior to its competitors. The manufacturing of SoloEra A1 will be undertaken by the factory of Jiming Industrial Co., Ltd.
Internet brands can still be better
With the development of the industry, more and more Internet brands have emerged in the EV industry. SoloEra A1 is a satisfactory product both for its configuration and quality. However, for an Internet brand, consumers tend to place more expectations on it. In this respect, SoloEra A1’s performance may not be amazing. We look forward to the continuous creation of transportation tools with better looks and higher quality in the future. We hope to see these brands to bring more mobility excitement to users with more advanced technologies. (Source: WeChat: eqblab, soloera)
