Gaokin 2022 Smart Edition Flame500 Comes with Upgraded Details
China – Gaokin has revealed a series of photos of the 2022 smart version Flame500, and with the “MAY” elements in each photo. It seems the new Flame500 is to be officially released sometime in May.
The Flame500’s exterior design is basically the same, with a few minor changes. The most notable one is that the seat has changed from a one-piece saddle to a more sporty split type. And there is change with the exhaust underguard.
The TFT meter is changed from the octagon to the rectangular shape, which looks much simpler and has a larger display space. A USB port has been added to the base of the left rearview mirror. The three color schemes–black, white and grey– seem a bit too plain. We expect more vital colors when it is officially launched.
The Flame500, Gaokin’s second product, was officially launched in the second half of last year, so the power platform is unlikely to change in such a short time. The same 486cc in-line twin-cylinder water-cooled engine as on GK500 comes from the same factor as Loncin KE500, but the displacement and maximum torque are slightly higher than KE500. The maximum power is 37kW/8500rpm, and the maximum torque is 46N.m/6750rpm.
