The 139th Canton Fair Set to Open: Motorcycle & Electric Two-Wheeler Area Receives Major Upgrade

The 139th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will officially open on April 15, 2026, at the Pazhou Canton Fair Exhibition Hall in Guangzhou. Widely recognized as “China’s No.1 Fair”, this premier international trade event once again serves as a key platform connecting global business opportunities. Among its highlights, the motorcycle and electric two-wheeler exhibition area stands out with significant upgrades and adjustments, inviting global buyers and distributors to gather in Guangzhou and explore new opportunities in the two-wheeler mobility industry.

At this time, the motorcycle and electric two-wheeler exhibition area will undergo important restructuring and expansion. Building upon the existing layout, Hall 15.2 has been newly added, expanding the total exhibition area to four halls and significantly increasing overall scale compared to previous editions.

Specially, motorcycle manufacturers will be located in Area C, Halls 14.1, 15.1 and 15.2, showcasing a wide range of complete vehicles and related components. Meanwhile, electric two-wheelers and bicycle exhibitors will be primarily located in Hall 16.2, forming a dedicated display area. This upgrade not only reflects the Canton Fair’s strong emphasis on the two-wheeler sector, but also highlights the robust growth of China’s two-wheeler export industry and the rising global demand for Chinese products.

In recent years, China’s motorcycle industry has been accelerating toward structural upgrading high-quality development. According to data from the China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycle (CCCM), total motorcycle production and sales in 2025 reached 22.1093 million and 21.9677 million units respectively, maintaining steady growth. Notably, mod-to-large displacement recreational motorcycles above 250cc have become a key growth driver, with annual production and sales increasing by over 23% year-on-year. This trend clearly reflects the growing demand in both domestic and international markets for high-performance and leisure-oriented motorcycles, underscoring ongoing optimization of the industry structure. In terms of exports reaching 13.3657 million units in 2025 and export value increasing by 26.78% year-on-year. Motorcycles that made in China continue to expand their global footprint, gaining widespread recognition for their reliability and strong value proposition.

At the same time, China’s two-wheeler industry has maintained strong growth momentum, becoming a key driver of the global transition toward green mobility. According to data from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), total exports of electric two-wheelers reached USD 6.83 billion in 2025, up 17.4% year-on-year, while export volume increased by 20.9% to 26.74 million units. Key overseas markets such as Europe and Latin America have shown particularly strong growth, serving as major engines for export expansion and highlighting the global competitiveness of China’s electric two-wheelers in the green mobility sector.

As the opening of the 139th Canton Fair approaches, a major gathering of the global two-wheeler industry is set to unfold.
