ZEEHO AE8 launched in Taiwan Market
Taiwan media noted it’s better than PBGN in performance
After delivering the first batch of AE8 S+ vehicles in China, ZEEHO is also actively making this model’s debut in Taiwan Province, China, and which is expected to be officially launched in 2023.
It is said that ZEEHO will be sold through Taiwan’s time-honored J-DREAM TAIWAN CO., LTD., which has become the Taiwan general agent of CFMOTO ZEEHO at the end of 2021. It will introduce a variety of products, including ZEEHO AE8.
Based on the relevant data, Taiwan is developing rapidly in terms of electrification. Due to the local income level, the unit price of the motorcycle is much higher than that of the mainland although the average monthly sales is less than 15,000 units. From the perspective of market share, GOGORO is undoubtedly a super oligarch in Taiwan with a market share of over 70% because of its almost monopolistic power exchange platform and technology. In addition to Gwangyang using IONEX power exchange platform, many leading brands are using GOGORO’s power exchange technology, which are also called PBGN Alliance (powered by GOGORO network), including the famous YAMAHA. In this context, ZEEHO AE8 GOGORO and SuperSport are focused on by local industry media. First of all, in terms of the performance, the local media compared the ZEEHO AE8 with the mainstream products of the PBGN alliance, and they found that it’s better than the hot-selling PBGN alliance models in performance. Especially, compared with GOGORO SuperSport released in the first half of the year, ZEEHO AE8 is better in the acceleration and top speed.
0-50km/h acceleration time
ZEEHO AE8: 2.6 seconds
GOGORO SuperSport: 3.9 seconds
Maximum speed
ZEEHO AE8: 100+km/h
GOGORO SuperSport: 96km/h
In addition,J-DREAM clearly stated that ZEEHO AE8 won’t be included into the PBGN system.
It has a maximum range of 190km on a single charge to meet the daily needs of most users, and it is equipped with a variety of charging methods for users to choose from. The users in Taiwan, limited to PBGN system, can finally realize the freedom of the electric motorcycle.
In addition, the BREMBO calipers and BOSCH ABS carried by ZEEHO AE8 are popular among the local media and users. ZEEHO AE8 is expected to make its debut at the motorcycle exhibition in Taiwan in September, and will be officially sold there in 2023. In terms of pricing, local media believe that it’ll refer to GOGORO SuperSport ACE version that is NT$115,980 (equivalent to about 26,000 yuan).
