In recent years, electric vehicles, from electric four wheelers to electric two wheelers, have become the hot products attracting the attention of the whole world. People’s demand for electric vehicles are also increasing.

Internationally, according to the data from the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (ACEM), The European electric motorcycle market grew from 6,901 units in 2018 to 14,111 units in 2019 (+ 104.48%). The growing popularity of electric motorcycles in the European market has brought new growth points to China’s electric two-wheeled vehicle industry. In 2019, the export of domestic electric two-wheeler manufacturers reached 14.0643 million units, up 0.19% compared with the same period of 2018, and the export value was USD2.894 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 0.15%, which indicates that the international market demand is still on the rise (see Figure 1).

At present, China’s electric two-wheeled vehicles are mainly sold to the United States, the Netherlands, Germany and other European and American countries. In 2019, the export value from the top 10 destination countries accounted for 59.21% of the total export amount, among which the United States tops the list with a proportion of 24.29%. (see Figure 2, Table 1)
