Benelli Releases 2022 TRK502 Series With A Number of New Electronic Features
China – Recently, Benelli officially released the 2022 TRK502X. The new TRK502X has received 7 detail upgrades on the occasion of 7 years on the market. The updates are in line with what has been revealed in previous outlets across the country, including not only new decals and color schemes, but also a number of new electronic features. There is no longer a standard version 502X, and the price of the other three versions did not increase despite of the upgrades. However, the three tail boxes are still optional equipment that needs to be additional paid.(standard road version TRK502 priced at 35,800 yuan–down 3,000 yuan; high-end road version TRK502 at 40,800 yuan; high-end off-road version TRK502X at 45,800 yuan)
The appearance has not changed much, except new decals and color schemes. The new matte dark green is a beautiful color, the road version has silver wheels, and the off-road version is gold. Headlights are still halogen light sources. Wonder if users are expecting LED lights. Benelli also upgraded the original steel rear rocker arm to aluminum alloy material, reducing the weight of the vehicle by 3.6kg.
Both the 502 and 502X use spoked wheels, and the biggest difference between them is the size of wheel rings. The 502 uses 17-inch front and rear wheels, while the 502 X adopts front 19-inch and rear 17-inch wheels. The latter has a higher clearance from the ground, which is more suitable for non-paved roads. The main difference between the standard and high-end versions is the KYB shock absorber.
Among the seven upgrades, three are electronic functions, including the new Internet of Vehicles system, tire pressure monitoring and tire temperature display, as well as electric heating handlebars. But it seems the heating has no several modes to be adjustable. There are double USB outlets and the button process is improved.
At the heart is the same 500cc in-line two-cylinder water-cooled engine with a maximum power of 35kW/8000rpm and a maximum torque of 45Nm/5000rpm. It is equipped with dual-channel ABS and a smooth sliding clutch. The fuel tank capacity remains unchanged at 20L.
