Apart from Chinese motorcycle brands, YADEA attended EICMA 2022 and released its first electric motorcycle and its first large-wheel electric scooter at this exhibition.

Keeness VFD

YADEA Keeness VFD is an electric motorcycle comparable to a 125 fuel motorcycle, which belongs to the A1 motorcycle category in Europe. This model has a very sporty appearance, which looks like the street bike of fuel motorcycles.

Keeness VFD is equipped with 72V32Ah dual batteries, which can be disassembled and charged. Each battery is 14 kg with the capacity of 2.3kWh, and the total capacity is 4.6kWh. The mid-mounted motor is called VFD-10KW by Yadea, with a peak power of 10kW, a maximum torque of 280Nm, a maximum speed of 100km/h, an acceleration of 0-50km/h in 4 seconds, which adopts a chain drive. The NEDC cruising range is 140 km (at a constant speed of 45km/h ).

Keeness VFD is equipped with a vertical front fork and a central rear shock absorber. The front and rear wheels are 17 inches. It has 300mm front single disc brake and 240mm single disc rear brake, and ABS and CBS are available. In addition, there are two versions of this model. The other version adopts a gold inverted front fork, a larger front brake disc, red brake calipers, and an aluminum alloy rear rocker arm. Keeness VFD is also equipped with a 5-inch LCD instrument. It can be inferred that It has a full-color screen according to the handle buttons. In addition, it provides NFC keyless system and cruise control functions, and there is a 16L storage space position when the fuel tank is open.

YADEA did not announce the price of Keeness VFD on the spot, but it was said that this model would be launched in 2023. The price of this model is worth looking forward to.

VoltGuard VFV

Another new model, VoltGuard VFV, is a typical large-wheel scooter with 14-inch front and rear wheels. It is the first time for YADEA to produce this kind of model, although there is no innovation in appearance and the look of VoltGuard VFV is similar to the the traditional large-wheel fuel scooter.

VoltGuard VFV is equipped with a wheel-hub motor with a maximum power of 5.5kw and a maximum torque of 189Nm. It takes only 4 seconds from 0-50km/h. It has a maximum speed of 80km/h. It is powered by two 2kWh (72V/27Ah) ATL lithium batteries (With IPX7 waterproof). The battery life can reach 200km if it runs at a speed of 30km/h.

This model is equipped with the LED, the keyless start system, the large LCD instrument, the hidden hook, USB charging interface and so on. What’s more, it has a space capacity of 21L to accommodate a small half helmet.

The quality of VoltGuard VFV is reliable by virtue of adopting the durable high-impact carbon steel frame (Q235). In addition, this model is equipped with the front and rear disc brakes, but it doesn’t seem to adopt ABS. The upright front fork and bilateral rear shock absorption are sufficient for daily use.

Obviously, YADEA has made their determination to enter the recreational electric motorcycle market. As one of the world’s largest electric vehicle suppliers, YADEA’s strength is beyond doubt. If YADEA enters the market through the adjustment of the price, there will be a new situation in electric vehicles market in the future.
