China – After all these years, the “Pure” Benelli finally made a comeback. The classic three-cylinder street bike TNT899 was officially announced with a price of 79,800 yuan. This time, the TNT899 is not an imported version, but a domestic one, so the price is much affordable to consumers. The localized TNT899 retains the original style to the greatest extent, with some modern adjustments in the details and configurations to meet the current aesthetic standards and functional needs.

The Benelli TNT family head style is continued, but the halogen is upgraded to LED. In addition, the water tank design shape is also retained. Different from most street bikes, TNT899’s turn signals are designed on the decorative cover of the water tank. Another big change in configuration is that the dash and handlebar keys have been upgraded. The dash has been replaced with a full-color TFT screen. The handlebar button are also changed to be popular multifunctional backlit buttons, and a USB outlet is added.

The hardware configurations are fairly “hard”, including the front adjustable 50mm inverted Marzocchi shock absorber, the rear central multi-link shock absorber (pre-load adjustable), front Brembo Stylema opposite four-piston calipers with Brembo straight-push pump, rear Brembo single piston floating calipers, and standard double-channel ABS.

The TNT899 is equipped with an 898cc in-line three-cylinder water-cooled engine with a 120° crankshaft angle, a maximum power of 88kW (120Ps) /10,000rpm, and a maximum torque of 88N.m/8,000rpm. It also comes standard with a sliding clutch. The power data are on par with the larger four-cylinder Z900, making TNT899 a most capable street bike among the current domestic models.
