315.82 km/h! CFMOTO V4 SR-RR Sets New Top-Speed Record for Chinese Motorcycle Brands

China’s motorcycle industry has reached another milestone moment.
CFMOTO has recently released a highly discussed test result within the industry: its liter-class superbike, the V4 SR-RR, achieved a top speed of 315.82 km/h during high-speed testing. This result sets a new publicly disclosed speed record for a Chinese motorcycle brand. Not only does it break through the 300 km/h barrier, but it also marks the first time a Chinese manufacturer has entered the core discussion space of global top-tier superbike performance.

For high-performance motorcycles, top speed has never been defined by engine output alone. At speeds beyond 300 km/h, a vehicle must simultaneously address aerodynamic efficiency, high-speed stability, chassis rigidity, braking performance, and electronic control systems. Therefore, the 315.82 km/h result reflects not just raw power, but a comprehensive advancement in overall vehicle engineering capability.
As CFMOTO’s most advanced production-oriented model to date, the V4 SR-RR has attracted significant attention since its debut at the 2025 EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show. The bike is powered by an in-house developed 997cc V4 engine. According to official data, it produces over 210 horsepower, while keeping curb weight under 200 kg, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio exceeding 1:1—placing it firmly within the current mainstream liter-class superbike segment.

In addition to its powerful engine platform, the V4 SR-RR is equipped with an active aerodynamic system. Large front winglets can automatically adjust their angle according to speed, reducing drag while increasing front-wheel downforce. This improves both high-speed stability and handling performance. Such technology has previously been seen mainly in MotoGP machines and a limited number of European flagship superbikes.

In terms of equipment, the prototype also features an Akrapovič full titanium exhaust system, high-spec Brembo braking components, and electronically controlled suspension, all of which highlight CFMOTO’s ambition to enter the high-end performance motorcycle market.

Although the 315.82 km/h figure remains a result from prototype testing, and final production specifications have not yet been officially released, the combination of a 210+ hp V4 platform, active aerodynamic technology, and a verified 315 km/h+ performance capability clearly demonstrates that Chinese brands are actively challenging a segment long dominated by European and Japanese manufacturers.
For CFMOTO, the significance of the V4 SR-RR may go beyond a top-speed record—it represents a symbolic step forward in the evolution of China’s motorcycle engineering capabilities.
