Marzocchi Reaches A Production Agreement with QJ’s Parent Company
China–VRM, the parent company of the famous fork and brake system manufacturer Marzocchi, has reached a production agreement with Zhejiang Qianjiang Group (QJ Motors) to set up a local machinery manufacturing company.
Under the new partnership, VRM and Qianjiang build a new factory in Zhejiang province in China. In the future, product R&D, testing and design will continue to be conducted in Bologna, Italy, and the agreement also allows Marzocchi to sell its suspension in China and other global markets.
Details of the deal have yet to be finalized as to whether QJ Motors will use Marzocchi parts on its own models, but there is expected to be some integration between the two brands. As Qianjiang has launched rival models to the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Suzuki V-Strom 650, good suspension will help the brand improve its competitiveness.
